Hey All!

Got an email yesterday requesting additional documents! I already sent an FBI clearance - why would they want an updated one? Also, my husband didn't live in Jamaica for 6 mths or longer from the age of 18. I am confused as to why they would want an FBI clearance from Jamaica. With respect to the passport, do I just scan and email it? Does it need to be notarized? See what they said below!

In order to continue processing your application, the following is required:

Ø Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate from Jamaica. This must be received at this office by: 09/19/2013

Ø FBI Clearance: If your residence period in the USA has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original FBI clearance certificate This must be received at this office by: 09/19/2013

Ø COPY OR SCANNED IMAGE of your passport and passports of your accompanying family members, as noted below.

Well, perhaps the FBI that was sent with the app has expired and they want an updated, but I would contact them about the residency issue and see what they say.

I'm unsure where exactly you're applying from (US?) but if it's from a visa exempt country then you just need a scanned copy of your passport only and no notarizing.

By the way, congrats on your PPR!

Hi everyone, I'd just like to confirm something! I got my passport request/AOR/additional document request letter right? So they're asking for my passport and an Appendix A which they emailed. Page two of that file was the photo specs page, Appendix B. The letter they sent me didn't mention any photos though. Is my understanding correct that I do NOT have to send them any? (Because attaching that Appendix A and B file is very confusing. Why can't they send just an Appendix A file if they don't want photos?) Thanks a bunch!

Okay, I now officially have access to the January 2013 spreadsheet.

If anyone would like to be added or you need an update, just let me know by posting here or by PM.

Hi amikety,

Not sure if you're still updating the spreadsheet, but i'd like to be added.

Country of origin: Netherlands

Application sent: 28th of January 2013
Stage 1 AOR: 4th February 2013

Looking forward to hearing from you.

You just sent regular copy.

FBI clearance has expired or will expired by the time they issue the COPR.

One of two possibilities for the Jamaica clearance - either something came up on the security check or he lived there long enough to almost make six months. If he lived there for more than a few months OR he lived there as a child, CIC usually makes this request.

I've added you. I'm going to ask some questions. All information is totally optional, so if you don't want to answer/don't feel comfortable, please don't feel any pressure to respond :D I just enjoy having as much information as possible...... KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!! Rawr :P

1) What day was your application received by CIC (this will be in your AOR email/letter).
2) Do you want me to put in your destination city?
3) What day did you get your CQS, if you have it yet?
4) What "additional documents" were requested?

Most Visa Offices don't give stage 2 AOR. Not getting it is normal. Many of us consider any communication (whether initiated by us or the VO) to be Stage 2 AOR because at least this confirms they got your file. So your AOR can be 26-March-2013 if you like.

Ecas is unreliable and probably won't say "In Process" or "Decision Made" until you already get the visa in the mail.......... very annoying.

Sigh. At least I don't have to do ALL the medical exam over.. but I just got an email today requesting that I get my Panel Physician to update my chest Xray and send in. So no PPR.. but shows they are doing SOMETHING to my file.

Question: Does this mean they won't ask for anything else like the updated FBI I was worried about? How long will I have to wait if I get this done this week or next?

I want PPR!! :(
