So if they asked for her re-med then we have to wait for extra time then don't we.

Like we have to wait for 2 more months after the re-med if they asked.

You think they will ask for her re-med?

most likely yes. YOu have done the meds in advance (In august when you applied in January), so they will likely expire before they really look at your file. They can ask for extension of meds but only if it's within 15 months of the initial date, and if it's the only thing preventing the visa to be issued. You won't know if they ask for an extension. The only proof is that if they issue the visa without asking for re-meds, then you know they have been extended.
I can't give you an answer about how long it will be - it depends on your case, your VO, etc.
IT's hard, but being patient and waiting is the only thing you can do for now.

Sweden - can you be proactive and decide to redo meds on your own and send it in before the VO asks for it? Or must you wait for the VO to specifically request it?

Thanks

hi..just to share one situation i read in other forum...one applicant's med was one month to expire so she decided to email VO and told them about it. The VO emailed bacha, aksing her to go to there with her passport...
and then two weeks she got her visa...

Aye, it has given us a wee lift and makes you feel like you can start to do some things, eg. get figures for some house works prior to putting it on the market, and a tentative date for starting said work. Who knows how long it will take now, but any progress is good, especially if there are strikes going on. :D

This week we saw our application updated to "medical results received". I also received an email confirming our new address. :)

Erm... folks, I cannot quite believe it but we have decision made :o ;D. Perversely, it has actually been a bit too quick for us. We have a few holidays booked over the summer and it will then take another good few months for me to close everything down here. Well, at least we can sit down and plan now.

Decision Made!
And a kind email to confirm the document will be with us this week.
Stay strong people, it's gonna happen soon for you too!
;D
