Yay! So exciting! My guess is I will be sending the application on Jan 20 or 21. I go to Seattle to see my babe on the 18th for the weekend to have everything signed and checked through one more time and then it's off to the post office once I'm back in Vancouver on the 20th!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! I seriously haven't been able to sleep with everything going thru my head the last few weeks. I can't wait to finally start my life with my hubby! We only got married in Nov/2012 but been in a long distance relationship since 2008!! It is time!

Hello everyone! I have my forms and documents ready, and I am bound for Fedex tomorrow. My husband has his set ready as well so when he receives my package by next week, he'll be doing the final checks and mailing it to CIC. I am very nervous actually, I hope I haven't missed anything. I've gone over my papers many, many times and I'm still afraid I've missed something. Hopefully not!

I am goldenkagi by the way, and I hope to be one of the Jan 13 applicants soon. We will be doing an outland application, visa office Manila.

Hello all. Happy to say I have officially hopped on the Jan. 2013 bandwagon. =)

Outland application from Pakistan, hopefully it doesn't take us the full ~30 months!! :/

Anyhow, just a question for you all. Has anyone mail their application using Canada Post Xpress w/ signature to CPC-M ?

I mailed ours on the 9th and expected delivery was yesterday. The online tracking shows it went "out for delivery" yesterday at 10:10AM. But still not delivered. :(

I have read a few other posts regarding this, and some say it usually gets picked up a week or so later. Is this true? I hope not!

Any members with experience in this, positive or negative?

Appreciate your reply.

Thxs & good luck to all !

As a 2012 Inland Applicant I thought I should mention that it is best if there is a separate spreadsheet for Inland Applicants as this will give you a much better indication of timelines. I jioned both the July 2012 and the Inland 2012 and have found the Inland 2012 much better for myself. The link for the Inland 2012 is below. Welcome and Good Luck everybody.

Hi Guys

Good to see you all already applied and best wishes for people joining later. I have compiled all my documents and is ready to post to CIC next Monday. So I will update my details on the time sheet. I can also volunteer to get the sheet updated if it is not sorted yet.

I am applying in PNP program, originally from FSW Pilot Reduction Project. I am from UK, and Visa Office is London. Could yo please share your details.

Also what is the link for the spreadsheet.

Regards

M Kashif

Hey and welcome to the forum and the January thread!

The spreadsheet is being worked on now (I'm gathering all information) and will be available soon for people to see.
Just a question - are you a PR already sponsoring your wife or are you applying through the PNP for yourself? Because you have posted in the "family sponsorship" part of the forum, where most people are either already PR or Canadian citizen bringing their spouse into the country. The process is very different from PNP and I'm not sure how useful it would be for you to follow this thread if you're applying under PNP because it's a very different timeline. You're very welcome to stay on the thread of course! :-) but if you want to follow others that have applied through PNP I suggest you visit the part of the forum here http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/provincial-nomination-program-immigration-b6.0/ because it's specially dedicated to people going through PNP.
Either way - good luck with your process!

Welcome to the thread and good luck with the process - hope that indeed your timeline will be faster than the 30 months advertised for Islamabad - fingers crossed!
I used Canada Post as well ( well Swedish Post, who then gave it to Canada post!) and it was no problem getting it delivered, sometimes their website is not updating even if the package has been delivered already. I hope you get the confirmation soon.
I have added you to the spreadsheet, but feel free to let dzuls ( who will be handling the spreadsheet) know about any changes if it's not correct.
Good luck,
Sweden

anyone who did an outland application from the pHilippines?

Hey and Welcome to the thread! I have added you to the spreadsheet and I assume that your VO is Manilla, but if it's not the case please let us know and it will be changed on the spreadsheet. So far no other Manilla applicant has joined the thread but I'm sure somebody will come soon - you guys January applicants need to keep the thread active so it stays on the first page and people can find it easily! :-)
Good luck,
Sweden

Welcome! ( well SENGA: here is another Manilla applicant !) - as soon as your application is sent, please let us know so you can be added to the spreadsheet ( which will be up and running in a couple of hours!).

So we're starting a new year and need a thread for this month. Sent my package back off today again (former May applicant, see explanation here: CLICK :o

Hi Kiri...! I visited the link that you posted, and read your horror story about the returned package.

I'm highly concerned about the following....!

I sent things in May, they were returned after not being opened for almost 4 months for missing forms (the forms were updated with immigration in July.. if they had opened the package before that, it'd be fine)

So let's say we January 2013 applicants find out that our package is opened, say, in May 2013 (about 4 months from now). Are you saying that if between now (January 2013) and May 2013 the CIC updates any of the forms, then our package will be returned, and then we'll have to start all over again...?!?!?
That really sucks...we can never know when the next form update will be.....I guess there's no way to prevent this horror from happening? At all...? Or?

well - Kiri was very unlucky, because she applied when the waiting time was the longest ( same time as me more or less) and that's why they only opened her package 3 or 4 months down the line. It was also when they were both updating the forms (with the bar codes forms appearing at that point) as well as updating their own internal system, hence huge delays and a lot of disorganization... Now - CIC has been improving on the first stage, and the new forms with barcodes makes it much easier. Packages are opened much earlier than they used to be last year (now quite a few people get an AOR, it didn't use to be the case earlier last year), and they are "pre-scanned" for missing documents etc... so I doubt that it will happen - no point to worry in advance!
If you've filled out all the forms, and sent it, chances are that it will go all well!
Good luck,
Sweden

Dear all,

Sweden created January 2013 spreadsheet (thank you so much!!) and I will start updating it in the next few days. You can find the link to the spreadsheet in my signature.
