Hi all,
Today we noticed a weird thing on eCAS..i am the applicant with no last name..so before we got the ppr eCAS used to show as XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX (my first and last name same)after they received my passport it has been changed to NULL XXXXXXXXX application received.is it just an update that they have started processing my file??

dont worry Aamnk. i also dont have any surname on my passport and it shows same for me NULL first and second name.

Can someone answer these questions please?


1. When you get your PPR. How long do you have to officially "move\land" to Canada? I'd like to go traveling with my wife for 3 months before she moves here.

2. Will she have to pay import taxes\duty for her car? We'd like to bring her car to Canada if possible.

we finally sent in our passport today by courier to New Delhi visa office with all additional documents!!! all work for visa is finished...now we just have to wait but dont know how long :-\ :-\ does NDVO tell you when they receive your passport? and we sent it to Shantipath, Chandkyapuri, is that the right address and do we need to put the other PO box mailing address and postal code?

hello ashunandal , I sent my passport to ND on 17.05.12 by bluedart courier & today i got the delivered parcel message to ND , but as u said u tick the list of docs which u sent but i have not tick any thing as i sent my new & old passport & the copy of that letter (PPR) & one additional letter , in which i mentioned my maiden name & the changed surname letter after marriage because they sent the letter to me with my old name thats why our agent gave me that letter .
will it create any problem because of not marking the docs in the list.

It really depends on each application. there doesn't seem to be a set amount of time. Most people on this forum have very different waiting times.

Be patient! Your time will come!

Hello there - yes, waiting for the next step is frustrating but it will come pretty soon. Since December, Delhi has been sending passport requests in 2-3 weeks after receiving application packages from Mississauga. So for sure your PPR is on the way.

I've mentioned this in an earlier post, but I do encourage anybody whose visa office is Delhi to also follow the "Delhi 2010 onwards" thread. A user called vengat83 maintains the spreadsheet for Delhi applicants and he'd be happy to add your details to the list.

dont worry, they didnt ask to tick those boxes, not necessary. i also got confirmation from blue dart that parcel delivered at 10 am, i hope we will hear some good news soon. do you have any travel history??? ?
and dont worry about ticking those boxes

How are you guys...Was off the forum for a while to wrap up my work...I am leaving for INDIA today night from Toronto to be back with wifey....

Am all excited for the return trip...

Excited about my trip aboard the Airbus A380 as well....

Hope everyone's doing gr8 and Wish you speedy process for all those who have been relentlessly but patiently waiting for this to be over....

I have Seen Some Applications received on 1st may By VO n they received PP request from ND VO ON 11th May & My Application Forwarded to VO on 30th april but till date i have not received single communication from VO ........

i don't think tht they r serving on first in first out method ?? It adds my frustration abt how things are going there ??

sorry to hear that but some of applicants from ND are getting PPR by mail not email. i think your PPR is also coming slowly-2 by Indian post, i hope you will receive within next few days.
