Yaaaaaaaahhhhhh! Congrats :D

ECAS says this:

We received your application for permanent residence on January 27, 2012.
Medical results have been received.

Any idea how long or what the next message will be? (Family/Spouse)

Also, once approved and you got your PR and stuff, how long do you have to actually come into the country as a PR? I'd like to do some traveling first with the wife.

I got PPR today! OMG!! I still don't believe it. I never thought it would be this soon. I was transferred from Buffalo to Seattle and the PPR email did come from Seattle CIC. Whoohoo!

My fellow Buffalo people, there is hope! :D

Does that mean you're done? And you can enter canada as a PR now? That was rather quick, I thought the processing times were 11 months.

Hi all,
Today we noticed a weird thing on eCAS..i am the applicant with no last name..so before we got the ppr eCAS used to show as XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX (my first and last name same)after they received my passport it has been changed to NULL XXXXXXXXX application received.is it just an update that they have started processing my file??

I think that's just a computer glitch.

Good day to you all

i am happy to join you here and share my news with you my wife applied to sponsor me and they sent her letter that she met the federal requirements to sponsor and that they sent the file to embassy what does it mean federal requirements ?? thanks for answering my question

Aziz

Hi Aziz,

I am not sure what they mean by "federal requirement", but by the sounds of it everything is fine and your wife was approved. Not really necessary to question the good things, maybe

I sent it on monday(14th) to ND VO same address. They received it Tuesday. Attachment of their PPR email correspondence is just for their reference. You sent the list of documents, so you're good. Lets hope they issue the visa soon.

BTW i went to courier office again and marked those boxes with yes(,/) and no (X). yes i think we will hear something good very soon.
is there any travel history in your case??
good luck :)

My wife got her PPR yesterday!

ashunandal, the PPR letter was addressed from:

Immigration Section - Service de l'Immigration
7/8 Shantipath, Chanakyapuri PO Box 5209 New Delhi 110021 India www.india.gc.ca

So, she is going to use that and send via DHL.

The request also asked us to submit the Right of Permanent Residence (landing fee) and the Police Clearance certificate - but we had already included those in the initial application. So we are going to send the passports (old and new), a letter requesting a correction in her mailing address (there is a typo in their letter), and a letter stating what is included in the envelope.

This is promising news as I applied on Jan.31 and received approval on May 2nd, 2012 but no PPR as of yet. We applied to the same office New Delhi, so I really hope that my wife gets a PPR approval soon or I am going to start to get worried. Congratulations! I am happy for you!
