sorry that this message is gonna be a little bit on the gloomy side.. but I woke up feeling down. It's so hot and humid here these days, and I think it's getting to me.

feels like forever already. Still no word from LA and it's been just about 2 months now since sponsorship approval. I know that others have longer waits and everything... I am just complaining. I just wish we would hear something and that this process would move along already!

it's just one of those days I guess. but I want to go home already!

dont worry, you will get your PPR soon! it is also very warm here in India (45 degrees with no electricity with ongoing sickness!!! ) and when I put the fan on, all the papers that we are preparing to send in with passport get out of order :-\ :-\ :-\ :'( :'( :'( :'( we also still have a long wait left, because of travel history i am also feeling depressed, but hoping this difficult part will be over soon ??? ??? :-X :-\

Thank you. I appreciate your reply. My husband has extensive travel history too. I really wonder how long it will all take. ??? And, yes, the heat. No one wants to put the AC on and I am not used to this (I am from Nunavut).. I am getting all these strange symptoms (strange for me) due to the humidity and heat... we're not quite at 45 (!) but it's super hot for me! ??? and yeah, I am just complaining again. sorry to about the the ongoing sickness But like you, I wish everyone here only good things and that we will get our visas soon! Glad we have each other in the meantime.

If the sponsor has lived in a few different countries, will that also cause a delay? Or is it more to do with the applicant??

I don't think it matters. I have been traveling around for 8 years now and have only returned to Canada for short visits. I was approved as the sponsor already and didn't have to provide any criminal record checks or anything.

I cannot even say for sure that delays are for sure if the principal applicant has done extensive travelling. It seems that it could though because they require criminal background checks for every country the applicant resided in for more than 6 months after the age of 18.

If your concern is regarding your situation, I would say: if your wife is born and raised in China and she never left, that is probably on your side for faster processing times, yes.

I got my PPR letter today ,they posted it on 8th of may & i received it today on 16th May .
Thank God .& now i am waiting 4 my visa ..... so for that also God will help us really ...

i am Indian citezen and went to UK to study, came to india, and then went back again for last two months of my visa, then back again to india. i got my police clearance sent to india after I left UK for the first time? do I need to apply again for PC for the last 2 months that i returned to UK? we submitted out PC with application before the 3 month time frame they give.

As far as i know..i dont think you need to apply for PC again as Canadian consulate only need the Police clearance if you stayed more than 6 months in another country. As next time you just went for 2 months so no need to reapply for the PC.

I got PPR today! OMG!! I still don't believe it. I never thought it would be this soon. I was transferred from Buffalo to Seattle and the PPR email did come from Seattle CIC. Whoohoo!
