Good News.. I called CIC today and I am approved as a Sponsor and my file is on the way to Vienna.. The person on the phone said that there was a letter mailed to me today with some additional documents they need and i will receive it in 5-7 days... I asked "is there any way you can tell me what the letter is about?"... he looked into it and told me IMM 5481 and IMM 5540... when I looked it up on CIC it appears that I sent these already.. Not sure what they want.. I sent a letter of my current employer.. but for 1 month I had another job... perhaps they want a letter from that one? and a letter from the government that I was indeed on Parental leave? I really do not know... The man said that sending these documents will not effect my timeline in Vienna. So that's good.. I will look into this more and perhaps call the call centre again in 1 or 2 days to see if someone else can fill me in more. I Might just pick up those papers I mentioned and send them along with whatever I have to give.. That way, they have all they could possibly need and I don't need to be bothered again.. It can't be THAT critical if I have been approved and the file is on it's way... This must be just for their side over in CIC-M. We'll see.. I hope to get an AOR from Vienna sometime soon! SO I GOT APPROVED yay!!!! I told my wife.. she is THRILLED!!! Final step, here I come!

Thank you guys It feels good! really good! I just checked all my photo copies... those 2 forms IMM 5481 and IMM 5540 were sent and complete... There was nothing I missed, nothing I didn't sign... I don't know what exactly they want.. He did say it was something about Income... Perhaps they want proof of my 1 month job and my Parental leave.. My income was definitely high enough to support my wife and son..that's probably why they sent it and just want to fill in the blanks. Not worried about it though... Whatever proof they need, I am sure I can supply. There are still a lot of people around my date who do not know anything.. Please guys.. call in CIC every day if you can.. that's what it's there for.. I wouldn't know for another 5-7 days if I had waited for the letter (it is being Mailed to me)... It's worth a shot! I wish you all the best of luck.. Let this be the start of a very progressive week for Club January

I've updated the spreadsheet....I'm excited for more approvals.
I was getting sad there for a bit...I went away for the long weekend and was thinking I was going to come back to pages if reading and there wasn't much.

look forward to hearing approvals for everyone and we get united with spouses at the soonest... but really sad to hear from srinivas.. that post PPR which came on 1st march..they havent yet heard on approvals.. i was thinking, will get to see visa stamped pp, very soon in this month... still, hopes on and fingers crossed!!!!!

Same here....according to Canada Post they had received our file on Jan 18th, but according to CIC they received the file on Jan 19th.

Can the spread-sheet be updated for us as well.
