Hey everyone!

Not sure what is going on with CIC! I called again today...told them I had been told verbally I was approved March 9th but have still not received written confirmation. She checked and told me they sent me an email March 9th (??????) but I was approved March 23rd??? And that my application was sent to Vienna March 23rd???? Miscommunication somewhere!!!
I would talk to a third person and see what they say. So the email on March 9 was AOR and approval and transfer was March 23? Hmmm.

look at this :
dossier envoyé a mississauga le 02-02-2012 (sent to mississauge: feb 02)
acusé de reception du cic le 24-02-2012 (AOR: Feb 24)
accepté ,,,apel par teléphone le 28-02-2012 (approval: feb 28)
recu la lettre d,acceptation le 05-03-2012 (mail: mar. 05)
envoie du csq le 06-03-2012
engagement accepté par telephone le 21-03-2012

Now, it's been 76 days they received my application. there is no transparency! they are really idiots!

I called last friday too, they said no record yet, my app is received Jan 25 and they are still working on Jan 25 applications, so I am going to call again after they update the CIC website this week, hopefully it won't be "working on Jan 25" for the 3rd freakin week. >:(

I literally have called every single day since the CIC website changed to 'working on Jan 25 applications', which is 2 weeks now. So I've been calling for 2 weeks...
Yet, again, there is no record of my file in the system. I said, thank you and I will call back tomorrow :)
I have never seen a more inefficient, frustrating, unprofessional system in my life!

I have been doing the same. Every time the person on the other side of the phone takes all my information, including tracking number, and says they are submitting it to Mississauga to have them check the status. This takes 3 months. Insert vomiting emoticon here.

I am going to see my wife next month so that she can make another attempt at a TRV. I haven't seen her in 5 months so I was hoping my sponsorship would be approved by then so that she could use the letter in her visa office interview. If she get's declined for no good reason again... :(

Thanks Dr Eng X.

But the problem is I have not received the client ID. Its past the processing time of the first approval, now 69 days passed. Not received any email, post about my application.

Will I be able to get the status with the receipt number and other details?

Hello Fadil80,

We are in the same boat. Our application was received by CPC-M on Jan 18th and we have yet to hear from them.
If you do not have the client id yet, you can also provide the Receipt # when you call the call center.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
rv_maria

People from February are receiving their sponsorship approval on these forums...really weird in 22 days none the less this is making me wonder if I should have applied as a sponsor in french maybe the backlog is not as big..... This is sooo frustating!

actually me too i read abt 2 cases on this forum: one sent at the beginning of Jan, got AOR at the end of Jan and then a few days later the approval...her only reasoning why it took faster (i asked) was that she was re-sending the file so maybe they already had made a file in the system for her with client id etc (although what i know is that if the file is incomplete they just return it without any process at all)....second case he said they applied also in Jan got even AOR from Buffalo which means they were approved a few weeks ago!!!! hmm r we really all so special with complicated exceptional cases :o :o :o

(sorry i don't remember their names, but i read it in the past week)

mightymuffin, where r u? :) all good? any news since u got the AOR...do share!!!

(it could also b that they r having new system and it takes longer to get used and make it work (it's probably slow and buggy); i know the inland office had this problem last year)

good luck all!!! :) stay sane!!! it will b over!!! :)
