I guess every one here who applied in Mid Jan including me eagerly waiting to hear whats going on....

Lol sadly I applied early January! Jan 6th. Me and Gemini are the only two (that we know of anyhow) awaiting some sort of news from our time period. Soooooon hopefully!

I suspect that the date on the website is generally a week or two behind the actual dates they are working on, since January 10th & 11th were being opened back when it first said January 3rd (nearly 2 weeks ago)... I imagine they must check the PO Box once a week so when they haul everything over to the office, its a mishmash of the entire week, and they just dive in in no particular order. Or... maybe each day they hand a case officer 10 new files, regardless of wether they're done with their earlier files, and then, like getting in the slow checkout line at the grocery store, your application falls further and further behind while anyone lucky enough to get in the express lane is processed that day. ha

Good comparison ! we're stuck in line with the old person who is paying by change, can't hardly hear or see and has a coupon for everything.. and they're calling for a price check! I'm gonna look back on this whole experience and be thankful I never have to do it again.. but if my son ever goes through this by meeting someone far away... I'll be cheering him on today or tomorrow we will certainly see an updated time on cic!

Yes...still impatiently waiting... I've been checking CIC all day...and I'm 5 hours ahead of Ontario! I am really just trying to forget it and move on and be surprised the day I finally get an email...or letter...

You can actually sign up for this E-Cas tracking service so you don't have to keep checking E-Cas all day! They will actually e-mail you the minute something changes on your E-Cas. If your case hasn't been activated online yet, just put in your information and they e-mail you as soon as its active online.

you never know.. it is possible that the moment they updated showing January 3rd.. they were on the last couple and we could see a jump.. that's what I'm wishing.. last week they updated around 2:30pm eastern time... So i'll be checking.. but other times I remember 5pm and even thursday morning.. just please be at least 10 days ahead although even more would be appreciated!

i HOPE u r right!!!!! they should decrease back to 48 noooooow.... oooooh i hope no one from my close family, friends, children will go through this again although things r continously changing with immigration...probably the interviews will b on skype ;D and looool abt the old lady comparison....i think they process by day and they give to each officer a specific number of files from that day....now if the officer is one month behind than everyone else will have to wait in line....by the way all our opinions r logically based but with CIC there's always something illogical and surprising :

and yeah sometimes they do update on thursday (friday for me)....Gemini if u try to take a break and don't think abt it (go visit ur hubby ) for a few days then u'll definately have the nicest surprise

I am outraged! 22 Feb. 55 days, working on 3 Jan; 29 Feb. 55 - 3 January; 7 Mar. 55 - 3jan.! I know someone who submitted his application on 2 feb and got the approval on 28 feb! they're laughing at us!

nono....feb 22 was 48 days - Jan 3rd, then Feb 29 - still Jan 3rd 55 days now if it's still 55 days then they should work on Jan 10th applications; if they still work on Jan 3rd then it should b 55+7=62 days....so there's a mistake in the update....we should look on the positive side and think they work on Jan 10th applications so the ones before u can call!!

Your right madmti !! i did not notice that... it has to be jan 10.. i can not believe it would be stuck on Jan 3rd for so long... they have made a mistake in the not too distant past remember.. and it was corrected the next day i believe.. I think we'll see action in our group shortly... Good luck guys
