Hi whizbee ... it means Acknowlegement Of Receipt. When you file your application with CIC, they will mail/email you the AOR.

HTH. :)
I see. Thank you.

I hope that too ... but I think it really depends on the VO that they send the application to. As it shows on CIC website, every VO has its own processing time. Did your friend apply through Ankara? or somewhere else? I pray that it would be a smooth ride for all of us :)

I interpreted you as saying that you're the Canadian citizen sponsor, but you immigrated earlier and thus were assigned a UCI at the time. I'm pretty sure the UCI (xxxx-xxxx, eight numeric digits) that you were assigned years ago would be the same one that Mississauga would include in its sponsorship approval letter. I would check this myself but I don't know where my husband's PR card is, if it's still here at all. In any case, I doubt it is a huge problem if you did not include it in the payment receipt as they have other ways of identifying you. By the way, if you enter all your possible log-in information in e-CAS tracker, it will try to log you in daily and then email you when it succeeds and with what information.

guys, ladies, general question: i notice on my old immigration paper a client id; then i noticed the same id on a photocopy of my old PR card and also for my citizenship file...is this the client id they will use now too? should i have written it down on the payment receipt :-X i just noticed since i just found those old papers (since i'm trying any possible file number and id to see if e-cas is working ;) ) and they r sooo old, maybe they have other system with other id's.......i hope it does not cause any problem if i didn't write it down

Congrats to everyone who received their Sponsorship Approvals! I'm still patiently waiting for mine :)

Can anyone provide me CIC-M fax number and/or email address?

Thanks!

You are not that patiently waiting if you need their number . ;D. You sent the application on the 24th, so you still have to wait for week or two. But I understand that you are getting anxious. We sent it 1 week ago. According to the processing times I will have to wait for another month and a half. My VO is also Vienna. I hope they will be good to us. Good luck!

I need the fax number/email address to send an additional document.
If someone knows CIC-M fax number/email, I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you

Oh, I see. I can't help you with that, sorry.

Just an update for those of you with applicatinos from late January - I am still impatiently waiting to hear something... My application was rec'd on Jan 6th according to Canada Post. Others rec'd after mine have already heard from the CIC. It is quite a frustrating system they have going. I keep imagining mine is sitting forgotten under someone's coffee mug.
I had my husband call this morning but they said they are still just opening ones from Jan 3...lol riiiight.

Anyhow, just hoping to hear something this week or if not, we'll be calling again after they update the processing times! ;)

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I don't think you can send anything additional until you have AOR with the Client ID number. I've heard it is best to wait until they have notified you they have received your application and then send them your additional docs.

You are correct.... Until you have a client Id and your app is at your visa office I don't believe they want any additional info.

Podkayne8..... It's going to happen for you soon! Stay strong :D

For those that can log into ecas...and for those that will be able to soon.

As soon as you have your client I'd, you should sign up for ecas tracker...google it, it will be the first result of the search.

It will automatically send you updates when your status changes.

I feel this will calm the nerves as we won't be as obsessed with checking it, knowing the notification will come once anything happens.

Just an option.... Thanks ddboro (I saw you posted something About this in the Bufallo thread!)
