I just figured out why the CIC Scarborough office called me the other day.
They called me again today, and the reason why they called in the first place, was because they wanted to offer me a choice between having the oath ceremony down in Scarborough, or up here in Sault Ste. Marie, as the Scarborough office is so far.
However, I already called the CIC call centre on Monday to determine where my oath ceremony is going to be, and have since made the car rental, and hotel arrangements later that day. This means I'm not going to get an oath notice letter in the mail, but it will be waiting for me at the Scarborough CIC office, so that I won't even need the letter for my appointment. I suppose I could've cancelled those arrangements, but my wife is already excited about taking the trip down, and she pretty much insisted on going, despite the state of her MS, and my concerns regarding that. However, if not for her, I wouldn't even be here, let alone be taking my oath in eight days from now.
