Hey guys, I have passed the test and interview at Scarborough Office on Nov 16th, now waiting for the oath notification.

Btw, the officer told me that I should expect to wait 2-4 months for the oath, is this true? As far as I know, most people take their oath after a few weeks of the test?

Good Luck to all those who are still waiting or going to write the test.

Hello friends.

Today I received my oath letter (Pink letter). I honestly did not expect it today but I'll take it any day. I am beyond happy as you can imagine. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Oath: December 7, 1:00pm. Thank God! ECAS is still DM as of right now.

This should give you guys in DM status waiting for oath some hope.

Hi all,

I had my exam today at the Scarborough Center at 8:15 am.

1. When I got there, the responsible person at the desk gave me a 1-page green paper to sign at the back. I sat there with others (there was also a long line for the oath ceremony) until a lady came and announced the exam time. They guided us to a room where we had the exam. After I handed in my exam paper, I returned to the first waiting area and at the left side, until a lady called my name. The questions were pretty straight forward: current job, when I came to Canada, ... She was very friendly.

2. Test difficulty level: was average, not hard or easy [I got 20/20 :D]. The websites with samples were quite helpful.

3. Documents: She only asked for my passports, PR card, and IDs.

My time line:
Sent Docs: Jan 19, 2015 (19/01/2015)
In Process: May 28, 2015 (28/05/2015)
File Transferred: June 05, 2015 (05/06/2015)
Test letter: Oct 26, 2015 (05/06/2015)
Exam date: Nov 23, 2015 (05/06/2015)

I had my C'ship Oath at the Scarborough office on Monday, November 23, 2015. I was invited to show up at 10:30 am, while the ceremony was scheduled for 11 am. The whole ceremony was managed in an efficient way and it was really nice and moving.

Some observations/recommendations regarding the Scarborough office:

  • It's not worth showing up more than a couple of minutes before your scheduled time as they won't start registering citizenship candidates before the stated time.
  • Listen to the instructions given by word of mouth shortly before the registration so that you have your forms filled out and ordered as advised.
  • They will allow you to take in one guest per application, individual or family, with you. If you have more guests, they will be let in if the seating capacity allows. I had two guests, out of which the second was given a seat as there were spare ones left once all the candidates and their guests were seated.
  • Cameras are allowed. Your guests can take pictures/make videos as long as they don't obstruct the ceremony.
  • After the ceremony, the judge will make himself/herself available to new citizens willing to take a picture with him/her.

NOTE: Please dress appropriately and for the occasion; business attire is expected. One of the candidates at my ceremony was dressed in a sweat shirt and sweat pants, which looked pathetic and disrespectful.
