How much time it usually takes to receive Portal email 1?
In the tracker for me (primary applicant) only Background verification is in progress and for dependant eligibility has not started and background verification is in progress

Hi
There is no timeline for background check. So whenever everything is completed and you see Final Decision in your gckey then something between 1 day to 1 month time is when you will receive portal 1 email

My biometrics was marked completed on Dec 22nd anyone on the same boat? Also would like to know others timelines post Biometrics. For reference I am outland applicant applied via PNP.

I just checked my tracker and it says updated: 9th January but I don't see any updates on the tracker. Does it mean something is coming up?

That's a ghost update. It means the officer is working on your case. There might be something coming up or not
