Hello,

Guys if you know regarding this scenario or yourself facing this scenario, please share your thoughts.

what if either your PCC or ECA is still under process and you reached the deadline of submission.

- Can we submit the application and say ECA is in process in LOE?
- what are the other options?

I am in not that situation yet but preparing to face for the worst if happens.

Thanks :)

Don't wait , send the application with letter of explanation. If u have pnp nomination or lmia, then you can probably wait for next ITA , but I would suggest you tosubmit your application.

Also attach the proofs that you have applied for PCC and ECA

I can understand the PCC bit but ECA cannot be 'in process' after getting an ITA because ECA acts as both points enhancer and eligibility provider (for FSW). It will be construed as misrepresentation if one claimed points (and got an ITA) without having the ECA report.

True. If you didn't get confirmation from WES/ICAS that the ECA was completed and you said in the profile that you have ECA, that's a serious problem.

Thanks. No worries from the side of ECA.
I went through WES and had it.

I applied PCC in Canada and I got to know it would take 4 to 6 weeks

that is my concern.

hi,

1. do we require to have ECA under CEC?

2. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp

under before you start (2nd point), it says
- If you were educated outside Canada, you may need to have your educational credentials assessed against Canadian standards.
This is not mandatory if:
- you got at least one year of recent work experience in Canada, or
- your work experience is in a skilled trade (skilled manual work).

by this is ECA mandatory if you fall under FSW and also have 1 year experience in canada?

Advice please

Not an eligibility requirement. It can be used to gain additional points if your highest educational qualification was acquired outside Canada.

If your highest educational qualification was acquired in Canada, having an ECA for your other foreign credentials will not add anything to your profile.

hi,

my brief profile:
1. B.Tech in India
2. 3 Years of work experience
3. 1 Year of PG Diploma Education in Canada
4. 14 months of work experience in Canada

While creating the EE Profile,
1. PG Diploma - Canadian degree as YES
2. B.Tech - Canadian degree as NO and ECA as NO
3. Inter - Canadian degree as NO and ECA as NO

Now I am eligible for BOTH FSW and CEC.

As I am eligible for both, I will get an ITA under FSW.

Should I need to provide ECA for my foreign degree?.

If Yes,
In this case it would be in processing stage of my ECA at the time of getting an ITA.

How can you say ECA shouldn't be processing in my case at the time of getting an ITA?? Please advise I am in stage of CONFUSION.

Did you get points for 'Two or more degrees' in Education and Skills Transferability?

If yes, CIC can ask your for an ECA for your B Tech along with other documents. If an alert officer notices that your ITA predates your ECA report, they might find you ineligible to claim those points hence the ITA.

Send your application with a letter of explanation and enclosed supporting proofs.
this will be ok, then once you get your ECA and police certificate , courier them immediately with your application details...

Hi Asivad,

1. for "CRS - Human Capital - Level of Education" = 90 (One-year degree, diploma or certificate from a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute)
2. for "CRS - Skill Transferability - Education" = 13+13 = 26 (Post-secondary program credential of one year or longer)

I can see by above points, I was not issued points for 'Two or more degrees' in Education and Skills Transferability

Thanks

If you get that ECA, you can increase your points because the system will allot you points for 'Two or more degrees..'.

Hello,

I am in this terrible situation right now. I received an ITA and my PCC for FBI (USA) will take 90 days whereas I have only 60 days to submit documents. I am applying for PCC right away but have no idea what to do if it does not come on time.
