Hey guys.

I have an OINP application being accessed right now, but I also have a good CRS.
If I get the ITA before they finish my OINP process, should I accept the ITA and withdraw my OINP process or is there any advantage by accepting the PN (besides the 600 points), such as a different CIC analysis? Will CIC be less strict if they know that my application was already accepted by a province?

Also, if I get the ITA, can I keep it on hold and wait for the OINP result, to see if I'll get the 600 points?

Thank you for your help.

is there any advantage by accepting the PN (besides the 600 points), such as a different CIC analysis? Will CIC be less strict if they know that my application was already accepted by a province? - No there is not other advantage ...only your category will be changed to PNP

Also, if I get the ITA, can I keep it on hold and wait for the OINP result, to see if I'll get the 600 points? - Once you get ITA you have 60 days to accept or decline it ...

Thank you for your help.

Thank you, Queries.

Can anyone tell me if I can wait for the OINP result with the ITA, or must I decline the ITA to continue with the OINP process?

once you receive an ITA< your profile is locked and drawn out of pool.
So even if OINP processes your application and want to award you 600 points, they cant cause your profile is out of POOL untill you reject your ITA and move back into the pool.

FSW is way better than PNP as you wont be committing yourself to living in just 1 province and you can move whenever and wherever you like to move inside canada. But, with PNP, you will be bound with the province.

But I need to accept the nomination, before receiving the 600 points, right? Can't I reject the ITA before accepting the nomination, getting the 600 points?

And I don't see myself living anywhere else but Ontario, at least in the first years. I don't think I'm bound to the province forever.

You are bound to the Province for a certain time period otherwise they wouldn't give you a PNP.

I guess if you got an ITA you don't need a PNP anymore. Accept the ITA then.

Technically you aren't bound to the province at all. PR status is PR status even if it was acquired via PNP. And PR status allows full mobility to work and live anywhere in Canada. Having said that, it is morally correct to try and create a life in the province that nominated you and not use the PN simply as an alternative route to PR.

That's why it doesn't make any difference to me, because I really wanna live in Ontario. And even though I'm confident about my documents, I would feel safer if I could apply for PR with a PN.
That being said, I'm waiting for an Ontario reply, to know if I can wait for the OINP result, before deciding what to do with my ITA.

But via PNP also 600 points will be a dded and again you will get ITA. after ITA all procedures are going to be same. Then why reject ITA now and then again wait for ITA. I could not understand the logic here.

Because I didn't know if there was any other advantage. Some people are saying that a post-PN ITA is processed faster. And if I have an province approval, I thought that it could be easier to be approved by CIC.

OINP takes at least 3 months to get nomination. Your FSW PR process would have gone far by then or even been complete

But my OINP process is almost done, I think. They have required some additional documents and I believe they're just waiting for it to give the nomination (or not).
