Pre-Assessed..
  1. Yes
We are sitting in the pool at 411, and made the decision to go ahead and get medical exams (if you think that was a stupid decision, I agree! What were the thinking???). Anyway, we just got a letter from CIC saying "further medical information is required before a decision can be reached" regarding our 6yo son, who has mild autism. They told us to return to the panel physician.

Is this a procedural fairness letter? Just a delay? Has anybody received one?

We are planning on hiring a lawyer when picked due to the medical, but I would love input about what to do now.

Thank you in advance!

Doesn't sound like one. The ones I've seen here state somewhere in the letter '... have determined that you will be a burden to Canadian healthcare... You have the opportunity to respond to this mail explaining why this is not true...'

In this case, they just seem to require more informaiton.

Okay, thank you. That makes me feel better. Just a delay. Can't believe we were dumb enough to get this before we had an ITA!

Procedural fairness letter will be titled so and would list the reasons for medical inadmissibility. What you got is called furtherance medical request where they need more tests to make a decision on your case.

Procedural fairness letters are issued to applicants. You are not yet an applicant, so, no : ) This just means what it says - that your son will require some follow up tests.
