Is spouse' college degree certificate mandatory for Spousal PR visa submission?

My wife lost her College degree certificate during the floods. By the time she applied for the duplicate certificate from the University, the Pandemic lockdowns started and it is getting delayed.
I have all the other documents required ready.
Just wanted to get opinion on whether spousal visa would get rejected if the marksheet is not added. And if I add a document, explaining the situation, would it help.

I don't recall any degree document being mandatory for submission. However if it is a required document you can't attain at this point, I would suggest submit the file together with an explanation. If it is not a required document then don't even add any explanation. The processing time is unpredictable and can take long so the earlier submitted the better. Once IRCC requires any document from your side they will request it.

I don't believe the college degree certificate is even requested, let alone mandatory.

Check the forms and realise that you're literally worrying about nothing.

Read and re-read the instructions, they're a far better source of information!
