Is police clearance needed from your country of origin to apply for CEC within Canada. I know we need RCMP but do we need PCC too?

Do you know, for through PNP also needs RCMP?jes_ON said:You need a PCC for every country you have ever lived in for at least 6 months since the age of 18, EXCEPT Canada.

CIC will automatically conduct a name-based check for ALL applicants. Only if the name-based check is not cleared, then CIC will request that you do an RCMP check. Unless & until asked, you do NOT need to do it, no matter how long you have been in Canada.
