is it mandatory to show ur own funds too to get a canadian study visa?

i have done b.tech in ece and i have 1 year exp of lecturer in same field subjects
i have applied my file on 21st june 2010 and also attached work experience of mine.
but my salary in this job was very less(appr. 6000 rs.) and every month i get my salary in hand, (( not from any bank account)
because where i was doing job is a private institute and i just went there to give lecture to bca students regarding computer networking and digital circuit & logical design.
so in my file , i haven't show my funds.
but i showed funds of my parents and my elder brother ( total of 21 lakh including 10 lakh loan) and i also showed our house's property documents(37 lakh rupees property) and i paid my fees of 6316 $ of 1st sem . i haven't paid my fees from my educational loan.
so plz tell me .
is it mandatory to show ur own funds too.
from my point of view , it is not mandatory, because we r students and we r not settled yet, so we r dependent on our parents,
plz tell me ur views friends,
can i get visa?

you can apply with the fund of your father or your brother, it is not necessary to show your own funds but you must attach a letter that will show that they will bear all your education expenses,,moreover your property document will show that you are going to come back to your home land after completing the studies

i attached my father and mother's property documents(37 lakh)
and there income documents.
my mother and father both r govt. employees, they r govt. teachers.
they have been working in this department from last 30 years.
i also attached it returns and form no. 16 of my parents.
my brother is also a govt. employee. he is a govt. employee in state bank of india.
so have i any problems regarding my funds?

i have read something on that after reading ur blog./ but u haven't give any response.
just because of that because u read only the blog whcih is last one , what read the blog whcih is above that blog.

dude i am not an immigration expert i am here only to share the information which i have
i am not here to prove anything right or wrong but just trying state that that may be immigration officer found any point in your previous study and future study
well if you already submitted all your documents then be relax and wait for the time.......i wish you get the visa because i know
what are the feelings when our visa is rejected because at that time i want to kick the ass of visa officer when he rejected me
lolzzzzzzzzzzzzzz but later i reviewed my all documents and got the point what should do

well you can write a solid point in your SOP that why college accepted you if this course is not related to your subject
you must contact with your college international advisor where u got admission and tell them the whole story
they will also guide you what to do because canada education system is tooo much different to our asia education system
