Hi guys,
I don't know if anyone posted already, but I just found this news on the internet:
______
Effective June 13, 2011, foreign nationals applying for temporary work or study permits in Canada will no longer be able to obtain same-day walk-in services at the Canadian Consulate in Buffalo.
The indefinite suspension of walk-in services at the Buffalo Consulate follows on the heels of an earlier temporary suspension (June 6 to June 10, 2011), and is due to a high volume of applications and processing delays as consular posts implement a new computer system.
Pending further notice, individuals applying for work or study permits at the Buffalo Consulate can submit applications by mail only.
For employers sending temporary workers to Canada from the U.S., the suspension of same-day walk-in services at the Buffalo Consulate — one of Canada’s busiest U.S. consular posts — is likely to cause significant added delays. Mail-in work permit applications until recently have taken approximately four weeks to process. The Consulate now recommends that individuals submit their applications by mail at least three months in advance of their planned travel to allow for these delays.

Do you think that this might speed up things a little bit for us applied for the PR?
