Hey guys, one very important thing, DO NOT USE FEDEX FOR SENDING YOUR PASSPORT!!! I used it and received my passport back via usual mail along with a info paper from Buffalo saying that they do not accept to send back passports or any other documents sent by any other post service except USPS...

Hi X-Brklynite, Yes, photos must have a printed date in the back, it is very important for them. I have also noted my eye color and height just under the stamp from the place where i did my photos. Good luck and all the best!!! Cheers, Metea

I just got this response from Buffalo about my case: Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete. Regards, Canadian Consulate General Buffalo Immigration Section This is starting to get depressing ... :(

I did my medicals on March 17th, 2011. No PR yet. BTW, I live in Montreal and have a permanent job position. Doesn't seem to help much in speeding up the process :(

Go to the embassy in Nigeria and ask for the new visa (single/multiple - your choice). If your status in Canada is ok there shouldn't be any problems in getting the visa. Good Luck!

ok, i ment to say no job offer is necessary but you have to be enrolled in the program of studies in the univ. Sorry for the confusion, Cheers!

No enrollment is necessary. You apply for the off-campus work permit if you want to work outside of the univ. You can apply for this permit only if you are a full time student. It also limits you by allowing only a part time employment. If you are to work on-campus you have no need for a permit.

Well, if you are to work then you do need a work permit! If you are a student (at McGill) then you don't need it because it is like working on campus. If you don't live in Canada, I think that you will be needing a CAQ first and you will need to do the medical as well (obligatory when staying...
