Just to let you know Buffalo is experiencing delays since they are updating their computer system. See Link Below:

"IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are installing a new computer system. As a result, applications submitted in March 2011 may take longer than usual to process. Our average processing times have been adjusted accordingly. Thank you for your understanding."

hi could pls help me
how i can check ecas status without getting the second aor from buffalo?

I am using 1st AOR number and client id, and both are giving same result.

Received 1st AOR in june .. sent all my docs in September 2010..buffalo received on 4th October 2010.. But never got any 2ND Aor... seriously dis is disgusting from them.. Dunno wat to do...

I know quite a few members, who submit the complete documents to bufallo after Oct, 2010, have not got the 2nd AoR, don't worry about it. You could refer to the spreadsheet linking into my signature.

So far no one knows why Bufallo stop working now. Perhaps, I hope what thebeast184 said is right - that is merely because that they are updating their computer systems.

got on may 23

Any idea why the new file number is same as old. Is it normal?
Dear Applicant:
This is to advise you that your application for permanent residence has been received at the
Regional Programme Centre (RPC) and that a file has been created for you. Your file number
appears above. Quote this number when corresponding with our office.

Hi guys,

I don't know if anyone posted already, but I just found this news on the internet:

______

Effective June 13, 2011, foreign nationals applying for temporary work or study permits in Canada will no longer be able to obtain same-day walk-in services at the Canadian Consulate in Buffalo.

The indefinite suspension of walk-in services at the Buffalo Consulate follows on the heels of an earlier temporary suspension (June 6 to June 10, 2011), and is due to a high volume of applications and processing delays as consular posts implement a new computer system.

Pending further notice, individuals applying for work or study permits at the Buffalo Consulate can submit applications by mail only.

For employers sending temporary workers to Canada from the U.S., the suspension of same-day walk-in services at the Buffalo Consulate — one of Canada’s busiest U.S. consular posts — is likely to cause significant added delays. Mail-in work permit applications until recently have taken approximately four weeks to process. The Consulate now recommends that individuals submit their applications by mail at least three months in advance of their planned travel to allow for these delays.

Do you think that this might speed up things a little bit for us applied for the PR?

Hi,

I'm under FSW 2 with job offer, currently working in Canada,
I sent my full application at 10April 2011,
received by CIO at 15th April 2011
PER received 25May 2011
Received by Visa office 20June 2011

Now what next? I read from Buffalo consulate website and they written, I'll get a letter and then need to re-submit all application again? Is it true? If yes, then still I didn't get anything in my snail mail for that request? Anyone can guide me the next procedure could be?

Regards,
Nadeem
