Hi there,
I'm a Canadian citizen born here.
I've been dating a girl from the Philippines since April of this year.
We have plans to meet at the one year mark and seeing as she's from a poorer area (the Visayas) and the current travel advisory out we decided it would make more sense from an economic and safety standpoint to have her come visit me in Canada.
I'm wishing to show her what life is like here in Canada and finally getting to meet.

I will be supporting her, she will stay at my parents house while I pay for her needs and plane ticket.

I'm disabled and am currently on my insurance benefits. This being said I have more than a small amount saved up in a separate bank account, (over 40k) I assume that I will need to write an invitation letter.

Does anyone know what all would be required of me, and of her in this process?
What types of things would need to be included in the letter?

She's closer to

You only mentioned information about yourself, but it's mostly irrelevant...there is no such thing as "sponsorship" for a TRV, specially not in a pre-marriage romantic scenario.
She has to qualify for the TRV on her own merits. If she applies and you do submit your details and financials, they would only be supplementary to her profile.
Does she have any full-time white collar work not in a BPO, or funds of her own? Has she travelled anywhere outside the Philippines before where she had to apply for a visa before entering?
It's not impossible, but if she's not working and hasn't travelled, her chances of getting approved are practically zero.

Since you asked, if ever she is approved, she can submit her passport to the VFS Global in Cebu.

I realize this but from the little bit I have been able to parse having an invitation letter describing the intentions and my ability to pay for her needs and tickets to and from here would aid quite a bit. She works in a call center and is planning to open her own convenience store. She doesn't have much money of her own.
I would like to shoulder the costs of her visit.

She hasn't traveled outside of the Philippines before.

She's looking into getting her passport

It would be far better if she was able to demonstrate that she has sufficient funds to pay for this trip on her own. She is going to have her work cut out for her being approved given she has no travel history and few ties to her home country. CIC will most likely already be concerned that she potentially has plans to use the visitor visa to remain in Canada long term. If you pay for everything - this will likely raise these concerns further.
