Invitation letter date and Visa stamped date

Hi all,

Recently I applied visitor visa for my parents and received the passport request. In the invitation letter I stated they'd come on April-1-2023 and leave by Aug -20-2023. I gave the date as April 1st because the processing time was 160days. But I received the passport request today which is way under 160days. I have a few questions relating to this:

• Can they travel to Canada before the mentioned date in the invitation letter if the visa has an earlier date?
• Normally, for how long the visit visa is valid?
• Can they enter during the same year more than once? (april to aug 1st visit and oct to dec 2nd visit)

Could you please let me know if your parents have travel history to US/Canada? Did you apply through New portal and which country?

Hi, not sure about the new portal. I just created an account and applied. No travel history, country - India.
