If you use the search function in the forum with key words like "interview" or " mexico", you will get a bunch of other threads with this information.

There are many threads that list the questions various people were asked at the interviews.

You say you have no idea why they want an interview, they do interviews because they doubt the genuineness of the relationship, or there is some missing information and they need to put all the pieces together at the interview.

You're from Mexico, so I'm gonna assume that your red flag is that you're a failed refugee claimant? If so, then yes, its no surprise they want an interview because a refugee claimant is one of the biggest red flags you could have on a PR application

It is true that sometimes the visa officer who conducts the interview is rude. I hope the one conducting your interview is polite, but if he or she is not, you must remain calm and polite. Getting angry won't help. Also try not to let their rudeness make you nervous and flustered. Just answer the questions as best you can. The visa officer will expect you to know all about the life of your sponsor in Canada. He or she will definitely ask about your refugee claim, so be prepared to explain that it has nothing to do with your marriage.

It's a bit late now to order GCMS notes(takes 30 days to get them), it would have given you a better idea of the visa officer's concerns. Anyway, speak to your parents and try to get as much information as you can about the failed refugee claim.

The fact you were so young is in your favour, since it means you were not the one making the decisions.

Hi forum people, am very happy to write here for my first time. i have been reading both good and discouraging messages here for a whole week. But today i get strength to write also. I started in August 2013 and my husband received approved letter in September 2013. In November our file went in interview queue up to now but my husband write to Embassy in January 2014, reply was that my interview day will be communicated very soon. Now this week, i receive email that interview is March 2014 and it seems they need me to prove my marriage to my husband.
Yet our marriage is real, we love each other too much but how do i prove to interview visa officer?
Am very very worried. i read so many things here that causes to ask for interview and most of them are like in our file.
- met my husband online, we chat so so much about many things for 4 months
- after my husband comes to visit my home country for 4 days
- i go to his country with him we get married and stayed together 2weeks he goes to canada.
- he is divorced 7 years ago, but me i have never married before but have child from past friendship
- he is 18years olders me (me 32yrs and him 50years) but he looks very younger than his years.
- he has masters degree, i have 1 degree

so these are some of the things worrying me. so you think i will be approved at interview. Please forum help me on what to do on interviews. We love each other and we dont want anything to separate us becuase even waiting is so stressing. Thank you

It is not a good idea to ask the same question in too many places because the answers that you get will repeat.
When did you marry and when did you submit your PR application?

I have no idea why they ask me for an interview , I been with my husband for 3 years marry for one already , we meet each other in highschool , no children ,we havent been marry before ( this is our first marriage ) no age difference , we know each others family , we got marry 12 months after I came back to Mexico so we didnt got marry right away neither did we start the sponsorship application lol They are vert confusing in my case I dont know if it was really for our relationship that we got an interview !! I been asking in forums about the interview and what everyone says is just to be honest dont lie about anything if you cant remeber a date just say I DONT REMEMBER better than to make something up . Dont stress when you are in the interview or be nervous :) I know its hard cuz Im freaking out but only because I had see comments where the officer is very rude and even if you are being honest they try to find anything to deny your application so fingers cross we both get a nice officer :) & bring as much proff as you can with you to the interview :) good luck and hope everything works out for you !!
