For all of you who are international students and struggling with your score, i DO feel your pain.

[size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt]1. I myself was an International student before EE was launched. Lucky enough I am old and had more than 7 years overseas experience in NOC A. Did my master in Canada and got 1 yr Canadian experience. I consider myself lucky, i got the job, without it I would never qualified for EE. Same thing applies to 99% of my classmates in my batch.
2. It is a FLAW to put international student in the same category with general applicants. PERIOD. These students are educated by Canadian Institutions, blended with Canadian culture in Canadian Universities and Colleges, Worked in Canadian environment, Volunteered with various Canadian social organization. They ARE (most of them if not all of of them) actually the most ideal people to stay permanently in Canada as an Immigrant provided they contribute to the economy by working full time, support themselves and paying taxes. Fortunately, The new government acknowledged this problem and they are working to fix this. So guys, be patient.
3. Lets not accuse other people using Fake Experience letter from overseas to claim FAKE Experience. You know it is a fraud, if you find somebody doing that. Report to IRCC ASAP. No further comment
4. For the time being, LMIA is a good mechanism to protect local Canadian workforce. Professional job (to my understanding) is difficult to get nowadays due to economic downturn they need to protect their own people especially during the hard times.

So please be patient and keep being positive it's been a long journey for you guys since the first time you stepped your feet to study in Canadian Universities/Colleges. Keep working on it and hope the government resolve this problem ASAP

+1 for you

We are talking different things here. I am talking about federal policy not provincial. The provincial can nominate whoever they want not only international students. Do you know how difficult it is now to find a professional job? do you know how some recent graduates are even VOLUNTEER in a company just to get local experience in their field to be put in their resume so they can move on? Do you know how much money, time and effort they invested so they can blend with Canadian culture/systems with the hope that they can be part of this country someday?

Nobody is saying all international students should be given PR status. It's absurd and mind you some of those students don't want to be PR.

We are talking about federal immigration policy towards international student. Nothing else

Thank you for your support. You can understand because you were one of us.
Sometimes I think outlanders take their PR for granted.
I met some people here in Canada who made fake profiles to qualify under the old FSW (67 points) system. They got the PR, came here, and don't even appreciate the country. Most of them don't even like Canada and Canadians. They don't integrate to society and just build friendship with people from their country/culture. Many of them are here just to build professional experience and then move to a richer land that fits their culture.
Just my 2 cents!

Some people are just gloating now that they are PR while others are having a hard time. Complains everything from CEC being too easy, PNP are abused by those who don't stay.

Whistles Claps happy dance for you bro !!! for bringing up the VOLUNTEERING point, because im one example for that. So emotionally touched that atleast some one in this forum thought or felt that pain of being volunteering and failing to get jobs ASAP. But anyways I landed in to decent job but i ran out of time and nothing is easy for me today except crazy complications LOL

There are various types of immigrant including the one you mentioned. But it cannot be generalized as we don't know the portion of such type of immigrants

One of my classmates was an Immigrant from HongKong. They landed in Vancouver long time ago. Didn't ask much further how did they immigrate but I would guess Investor stream. It only took them a week to decide not to continue their plan to immigrate to Canada. They went back to Hongkong and continue their business. Her parents and her siblings gave up their PR not long after that. One day after class I asked her if she was giving up her PR too. She said "yes I don't want to stay here. I don't like it here" she even asked me why I wanted to stay here? I said I am doing all of this because I want a better life at least for the future of my children. After last exam, she went back straight to HK and only came back just for the graduation ceremony.

She definitely takes her PR for granted, but I am not blaming her as everybody's situation is different.

I have seen an example first hand. You can easily become assistant manager at you uncle's gas station in India and qualify as NOC A job. They get paid only around $200 a month in india but that doesn't matter for CIC. All they ask for a letter and a tax return, which you can even file retrospectively.
Now compare that guy, who spent only $500 in getting a Master of History in india, took IELTS, simultaneously "working" as Assistant manager at gas station, can easily score enough CRS to get invite. And here in canada, you spend $30,000 to get a degree, then you work your ass off, starting from low level jobs to become assistant manager even in McDonald.
I am not saying that all foreign workers are like this, some are genuine professional who are very much needed in Canada. But many of the non bonafides can qualify with so many loopholes too. There should be a separate system for Canadian experience and foreign experience. You can't compare apples with oranges.

I believe in Justin Trudeau, he has delivered what he promised so far. so we all just need to relax and stay put. Things will get better.

Reporting any and all such cases to IRCC is just one step towards improving immigration processes so that you and others can benefit in the longer term. Try and not be nice or sympathetic to such people - they don't deserve it and their actions cause immigration laws to be more stringent whereby it ultimately hurts you and others like you.

I know , Asivad! I din't have how to prove it to CIC. I found out about the frauds afterwards when they were with their PR in hands already. I met them here in Canada and they told me how they "got" their 67 points under the former FSW.
If i find out about any kind of fraud about someone who is working towards their PR, I will definitely speak out. FOR SURE!
And thanks for helping so many members. I really appreciate it! :)
