Bachelor or diploma students spend atleast 15k to 33k pr year ( depending on the college or university) on tuition fees and yet there is no other system for them.
Well, I don't get this argument. They spent these money for education. No one promised them that PR is included. I know that many ppl were using student status as bridge to PR and were ready to pay these money just to get some diploma and WP, but Canada just closed this door.

Guys,
Lets not take this topic where we all are accusing each other.
I am a international student with 2 year diploma course.
But i believe that the express entry system is just and right.

The economic plans puts a person with more experience and educational qualification over everything else.
People who are not able to get 450 points are those who have done 1/2 year diploma's and don't have ample prior education or work experience.
So all those who say they should be preferred over a 4yr graduate degree holder with couple years of his field experience are being irrational.

These are just my views but give it a thought.

One more

5) 336000 students are from all academic level from junior grade school to PhD. Only those who graduated that year are the new members of PGWPP club.
Over half (58%) of all international students in Canada are studying at universities and 7% are pursuing a college education.

So ok, let me redo my numbers:

336000 * 0.65 it's 218400 post-secondary students, ~1/4 graduates in a year (actually more, not everyone takes 4year course), it's 54600. x1.5 to account spouses - 81900. Children are not accounted. Still higher than plan for federal program.

I really feel it's very unfair. I have seen people from foreign countries getting visas by submitting fake letters and experiences in made up companies of their fathers and relatives. It's not easy to verify foreign letters and experiences compared to Canadian work experience which is required to 100% meeting the laid down requirements. International students should not be put into same competition with foreign applicants. It's very unfair.

i totally agree with you on this

There're PNP streams that are exclusive for inlanders.

For all of you who are international students and struggling with your score, i DO feel your pain.

1. I myself was an International student before EE was launched. Lucky enough I am old and had more than 7 years overseas experience in NOC A. Did my master in Canada and got 1 yr Canadian experience. I consider myself lucky, i got the job, without it I would never qualified for EE. Same thing applies to 99% of my classmates in my batch.
2. It is a FLAW to put international student in the same category with general applicants. PERIOD. These students are educated by Canadian Institutions, blended with Canadian culture in Canadian Universities and Colleges, Worked in Canadian environment, Volunteered with various Canadian social organization. They ARE (most of them if not all of of them) actually the most ideal people to stay permanently in Canada as an Immigrant provided they contribute to the economy by working full time, support themselves and paying taxes. Fortunately, The new government acknowledged this problem and they are working to fix this. So guys, be patient.
3. Lets not accuse other people using Fake Experience letter from overseas to claim FAKE Experience. You know it is a fraud, if you find somebody doing that. Report to IRCC ASAP. No further comment
4. For the time being, LMIA is a good mechanism to protect local Canadian workforce. Professional job (to my understanding) is difficult to get nowadays due to economic downturn they need to protect their own people especially during the hard times.

So please be patient and keep being positive it's been a long journey for you guys since the first time you stepped your feet to study in Canadian Universities/Colleges. Keep working on it and hope the government resolve this problem ASAP

BC have EE-based streams for international graduates in some fields and for TFWs (both skilled and non-skilled). Manitoba has paper-based stream for students and for TFWs (even non-skilled job works for this stream, and you need only 6 months of experience). Ontario has a stream for those who obtained Master's degree in Ontario. That's only few I'm aware of. Check out provincial programs of other provinces by yourself.

The point is they're not in the same category. Several provinces have streams for international students; they have an opportunity to gain Canadian experience while working on PGWP. There's no one to blame but students if they do not exercise these opportunities.

See my posts above, it's technically impossible to give PR to every international student even if they cut quotas for outlanders.
