Hi folks!
I haven't posted that much but I've been reading all the time. My husband just got his status on ECAS changed to "decision made". I'm nervous about what that means but from reading some of the other posts I think it's good. Funny thing is we called just last week and I guess the letter was sent the next day?!
Any ideas on what it will be?
Oh! Here's our timeline:

File recieved in October 15th, 2009.
start processing Dec. 2nd, 2009.
got client number from visitor status extension in mid Jan. 2010
Decision made and letter sent May 5th.
waiting for AIP letter....

Ok, good news, good news, looks like they are indeed moving on through October, despite the website. Hopefully they'll be moving along into November soon!

Hi,

Wondering if INLANDERS always receive some correspondence about their applications? We submitted our app Nov 27, 2009 and we've received NOTHING, no email or mail or anything. We check our status on-line and it only says received Nov 27, 2009 and nothing else. Not even processing on ___ or anything....

Anyone else have the same expereince? I see on this thread that many of you have received some sort of notification from e-CAS. Should we be worried?

Thanks!

No correspondence at all, until otherwise they open your file and put all the information in the system. Once your information is in the system they will send you the client id and you would be able to log on to e-cas. At the moment they processing application received in October so you are only month away. Hope this helps and good luck

Well, at least they have your information in the system. That means, at least that they have received it. I wouldn't worry about it, but you could call the call center.

That seems like a long time to have no action taken on the file. Mine was received the same day as yours and began processing January. I don't know much about the process but maybe a call would be prudent to make sure your file didn't fall behind the file cabinet. Anyone else agree?

No, I just don't know what Im doing. Gotta update that.

Sent on the 20th, received on the 27th, began processing Jan 6.

I included every possible document they might ask for including meds and background and photos and testimonials so I'm hopeful they would go right to decision made, but so far I'm in the same holding pattern as y'all.

Probably be a couple of weeks....my application was sent 29th September 2009, I recieved my AIP on 22nd April 2010 and my landing letter arrived 10th May stating I am due to land 20th May.

So using my time line I guess another 2/3 weeks before you get AIP

Im Landed Immigrant!

We received your application for permanent residence on December 1, 2008.
We started processing your application on January 2, 2009.
Medical results have been received.
AIP, SIN and Work Permit June 2009
FOSS notes January 2010

We sent you a letter on February 10, 2010 to (My address) about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us. (Letter received on February 23)

Landing Interview(Letter sent March 25 and received March 29): May 12 at 8:15 am at Scarborough Offices, it took us 5 minutes, I signed my COPR and thats it, not questions at all. Apply right there for my new SIN which starts with 5 .

So the whole process took me almost 2 years :) Good luck to everybody!!!!!

Congrats, happy for you!
But I wonder, is it the average time for applications IN CANADA? almost 2 years? :o Did you have any problem that caused delay in the process?

Thank you, and I dont think so, I think every case is DIFERENT, my delay came from my background checking, it took a lot of months, and Im from Mexico, that's why, my country is a developing country and not very much cooperative! Beside that We were perfect, they didnt do an interview, or ask for more info, etc. To me, my experience was a little bit long but simple and awsome! Im COMPLETE

Thank you! You're right we did get AIP + DM together. I'm not sure what DM is though!! HAHAHAH! We got a letter two days later asking us to make an appointment for landing and pay the fee. I guess we've been so lucky! Good luck to all of you!

Once we get AIP, we can file for an OWP - for those of us that didnt do this with the application :( . Does anyone know the procress for online filing? Is it straightforward?

Thx
