i got the same letter today i dunno wat s goin on..

I've also received a letter asking for updates in Feburary, I sent in my application in Sept 2009 and got this letter in Feb. They asked for my address and job since August. I don't know why but all I know is it's slowed down the process...I still haven't received AIP right now!

I also got the letter from CIC re. client history updated. Yet, I got my AIP within 5 months. Personally, I think those updated requested are minor issues and won't affect the applicaytion progress. Below is my timeline for your reference that might comfort your worries.

Application received: April 2, 09
Application start processing: April 21, 09
Medical results have been received.
Notify by CIC re. Client History Updated: Mid of May, 2009
We received the requested information on July 15, 2009.
Decision has been made (AIP): Early of Sept, 09
Received CIC Letter re. decision made: January 19,10
Landing Interview: 19 Mar, 10 -> became PR

Sitting tight with an October 27 "app received" date and a Jan 6 "begin processing" date. No news yet.

hello everyone. i should have known this website before! i have viewed all the messages on the thread this morning. i can tell, it is lucky forum!!

are there someones that have almost the same timeline as i do?

my timeline:
Recieved on March XX, 2009.
Started proccessing on March XX, 2009.
Medical redult have been recieved.
A decision has been made and you will be contacted soon (AIP, seen on e-case on Februry 8, 2010 and got the AIP letter on February 15, 2010)

that means, i have got AIP almost 3 months. i am so nervous.... i am still waiting for the DM ......

Today i got a visitor stay extention letter for a year (though i asked for 6 months) and my client ID in it.yey.
i just checked ecas, and finally it says - "We started processing your application".yey.

so my timeline:

Application sent: 2010 02 04
Application received: 2010 02 09
Application started processing: 2010 04 27 (my birthday)
Visitor's stay extended for 1 year. Date signed April 29. Letter received May 4.

hello Max, can you share your timeline? thank you. as i got the AIP in early February and now i am waiting for DM, i am nervous and ........ have been waiting for a long time for the procedure......

Hi Sarah

It can take about 3-6 months after AIP as they have to do background and security checks. In my case it did take 3 months and I got Final Approval on Mar 4 th when CPC Veg transferred my file to Etobicoke office for the landing interview. Unfortunately nothing has been scheduled yet.
