Hello,

I applied for PR on September 12, 2017. Inland, electronic application, Quebec, Common law.

Here is my application status:

Review of Eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam

Review of additional documents: Not applicable.

Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

My concern is that it's been 14 months since my application (AOR) and still no PPR email, or any news.

Is this normal?

Hi, I’m new to the forum this is my timeline:

  1. Recived your application for permanent residence on march 15 2017
  2. We started processing your application on march 07 2018
  3. Medical results have been recieved.
That’s all I haave, we’re applicating inland and starting to be anxious for the long wait.
We called our lawyer and he said he’s going to send a message to CIC to ask for updates.
I mean the website says 12 month and we’re been waiting 20 month is we count November.

Anybody are going through something similar?

Hello all, I see there have been some questions about eligibility for RAMQ. I've also called them and as someone previously posted, I was told that my spouse would only be eligible once he either had his OWP + job in Québec for longer than 6 months or his AIP. Since he wants to take the French classes, this would take a very long time, and the AIP takes even longer. Then when you consider on top of that the 3-month waiting period, it will be over a year without RAMQ...

Did anyone get access quicker than that? With the OWP and following the French classes full time, did anyone have any luck being eligible to RAMQ under those conditions? The lack of RAMQ is causing us a lot of hardship, we do have a private insurance in case of emergencies/accidents), but it does not cover medication that we need to buy on a regular basis.

Any advice in much appreciated!

Timeline:
App received in Mississauga: Sep 11
AOR received: Oct 6
Request for CSQ: Oct 15
CSQ approved - November 5
CSQ received - November 8
