I got an email this morning that we passed eligibility :D What's next, just the final decisions?

Also- I just checked the daily tool and it says decision made, but its not on my GCkey yet, is that normal?

How long is the background check process? Has it taken anyone longer than 2 months from BGC start to receive AIP/Eligibility Passed?

There is no standard time and yes it has definitely taken longer than 2 months.
Thanks for your repsonse. So if they started my BGC at the 10th month and it takes over 2 months for BGC wouldn't that mean that my application would go over the 12 months standard processing?

It could. 12 months is not standard processing, 12 months is a target timeline for processing most applications.

Not sure how they would meet the target if they start the BGC so late in the process.

In any case, I wanted to get some feedback from those who applied in Jan 2019 as our BGC started at around the same time, in order to gauge how long it's taking approximately for you guys to get approval.

It's a target - not a promise. They are not mandated to meet the target whatsoever. That being said for the majority of applications, they do hit within the target.

Hey, how long does it take from the time they reviewing if you meet eligibility requirements to passed?
It hasn't been updated in my GCKey - it still says it is reviewing eligibility and background check is being processed. But I got an email saying passed eligibility and DM on both sides of ECAS.

Tbh I’m worried that for some of us ecas is kind of meaningless? I have AIP and ecas is saying DM both sides, but no DM letter, no “decision made” line when I open ecas, and when I called IRCC they told me that the final decision had NOT been made yet. And GCKey isn’t updated at all. So I have no idea what DM even means, for my app, at least, lol.

Hey everyone!

Just got my AIP letter today! My client application status page says Decision Made as well, so all is good. Does anyone have any experience with leaving Canada and trying to come back while waiting for PR? My wife and I are planning to spend Christmas with my parents in the States, but we're not sure if that'll be okay if I haven't received my official PR yet. Thoughts?
