Inland Spousal question

I applied for spousal sponsor for my wife in March 2016 " INLAND"at that time she was legal status.

We just recieved the application back from cic because something wasnt signed.

Now she is out of status. She was working but we got married in Oct 2014 and she moved from alberta to bc with me. Her work permit expired May 5 2016.

I know she must be in status again. do we apply for visitor visa or restoration??

What is the best way to do this so she can get her OWP asap. She hasn't been working since Oct 2015

If her status expired may 5th, she needs to apply for Restoration. This will take many months.

Right now the processing time for visitor extension/restoration can be around one month, if you apply ONLINE. You should apply for it ASAP to save a lot of time

So do we need to apply for restoration and then resubmit the spousal application.

Or can we send everything together ?

I'm not quite sure about it. I saw ppl in the forum send them together and get OWP. But when I called CIC, they said I should send the restoration first then resubmit the whole application after receiving visitor record. That's because there will be chances that your visitor record being rejected, then it will affect your OWP app.

What is a " Visitor Record" Is that just a record showing you submitted restoration ?
