Nope, only to move back to when you return.
They will cancel all Canadian visas upon giving you CoPR, and then you have to wait for PR Card to travel internationally
Yeah, I planned to fly to US and drive back to Vancouver.

The processing time of a travel document is not so short than PR waiting time, so I've heard.
about 3-4 weeks, i am leaving for about 1 month! So once i fly, i have to submit in local counter with my return ticket...hope they can process within that period!...i really cannot "wait" forever for the Vancouver office!

They said its an option, but make sure you check the time to process. You have to apply from outside Canada. We are going to Asia for two weeks and it says that Hong Kong will take 43 days to process.

43 days? Canada is really a funny country! A PR (Canada has all his/her information on hand already) applying a document to get back to Canada taking 43 days to process? What are the computer they are using? Really unbelievable!

I got my DM March 21st. Seems like there’s going to be a bit of a wait. The Vancouver CIC has only 3 landing officers working at a time, so they can process only so many applicants. I’m hoping they will have more officers help with the backlog, so they can end the backlog.
Good luck to everyone and congratulations on your DMs!
Let’s keep each other up-to-date.
Cheers!
