But I believe if you belong to Vancouver Office, the processing time is longer than other offices. Backlog must have been affecting all aspects.all PR cards are issued by Sydney, NS CPC

In case you didn't know, CIC/IRCC implemented a pilot program back on December 1, 2017 that allows some applicants to land and confirm permanent residency over the phone. I came across only one person who got his CoPR this way thou. They really call people LOL, even so, the wait time is not reasonable...I am happy to fly to the East coast for the interview! It will be an excellent way for us, Vancouverites, to skip the long wait if only we could get selected
PS: The call @aa0013 received was probably not the same (landing telephone interview) but a call from an officer just to clarify some details.
Yeah it was not for landing, she asked me questions about my job and marriage. It was more like enquiry call before dmIn case you didn't know, CIC/IRCC implemented a pilot program back on December 1, 2017 that allows some applicants to land and confirm permanent residency over the phone. I heard of this pilot a while back, but I think it was not as successful as they anticipated. As a result I believe it’s been discontinued. Would be really nice if they still had it. What also would be nice is if IRCC makes a website where people who’ve got there DM’s can book their own appointments and can change to a different office if they want. Would be really efficient and would help a lot with regards to processing the backlog. Waiting a few months for a 10 minute interview is really inefficient and unreasonable. In case you didn't know, CIC/IRCC implemented a pilot program back on December 1, 2017 that allows some applicants to land and confirm permanent residency over the phone.
