ecas in process Aug 14
was 4 lines then 3 lines, now 2 lines
My current employer got phone call from immigration office on Nov 9, asked about my title and job duties, my boss has few restaurants, she stays in BC head office. My working place is in Alberta, the manager in restaurant got phone call two days after, I was in business trip when I came back she told me they asked nothing special, just job duties and title and working time, etc.
Nov 13 my boss got another phone call asked about my contract, she was on her way to airport and doesn't remember every details about contract just answered there is contract. Immigration asked for how long? She said it's about 2 years, which is wrong it was permanent. Immigration then asked does she intent to extend the contract when it is expired, she said yes.
And that is the last thing I heard from immigration, nothing has been changed since then ecas status is still in process.
I talked to my agent she said it's unusual because none of her client got phone call from immigration office I am the first one. She said it doesn't looking good!
Now I have no idea what does this mean? Any ideas? Thanks!
Hopefully i wont need itanarsoul said:12 more days and you can phone CIC and ask what's going wrong.
On other hand they still conduct EE draws. Are they stupid enough to create another huge backlog?glen222 said:Sad to say but i think we won't be hearing much from cic till feb last until they are done with the their 25k refugees assignment. Its a big task and requires lots of processing cwnters to open up and lots of people on the ground to process the loads of applications. I heard in cbc that they plan to process about 600 to 1000 ppl per day which is a huge task..
All we can do is just wait and watch....
Not entirely true. CIC has setup temporary visa offices for processing syrian refugees' applications. See this:glen222 said:Sad to say but i think we won't be hearing much from cic till feb last until they are done with the their 25k refugees assignment. Yet we can't explain DM/PPR silence in Novembermaverick85 said:Not entirely true. CIC has setup temporary visa offices for processing syrian refugees' applications. See this:

So, our applications should not be affected much.
i don't understand..which part is untrue? the link says ''Approximately 500 officials, including temporary visa officers, are being deployed to staff these offices''maverick85 said:Not entirely true. CIC has setup temporary visa offices for processing syrian refugees' applications. See this:

wait wait and wait nothing else we can do.... just speculating random things but no solution.... nov gone and no ppr for july people....glen222 said:i don't understand..which part is untrue? the link says ''Approximately 500 officials, including temporary visa officers, are being deployed to staff these offices''
so these officers are for sure being moved from different visa offices around the world(including Canada) to different countries in the middle east to fasten the processing.
The Temporary visa offices needs to be staffed by people, of course they are moving staffs to staff those offices, and you cant expect that they would train new employees when their target is to process at least 500 applications in a day. The truth is bitter but we might not get any feedback till next year... the wait is getting boring day by daymaverick85 said:Not entirely true.
