Congrats! I am sure it's great feeling to know that waiting is over.

I am wondering if anyone know if I can receive SIN number in the city where I am having a landing interview. I live in Northern Alberta (about 5 hours north from Edmonton), so my landing is in Edmonton, but I don't want to wait when we come back, I'd like to get paperwork to be done the same day and forget about waiting and stress.

You get your SIN the same day as your landing interview in Edmonton

Hi guys how do you extend an open work permit? I know this is out of the topic but its for my moms open work permit extension?? Shes under live in caregiver but shes not with the rmployer who sponsored anymore.

Is it still the same application kit for everyone extending an open work permit? Thanks

April 2016 acknowledgement of the application
December 2016 ask for medicals
January 2017 ask for police clearance/certificate
January 2017 sponsor approval
Feb 21 2017 got DM letter
March 3 2017 got landing interview
March 17 2017 landing interview

hi,
i forgot to update the group, but last Tuesday we did our landing at IRCC in Calgary. Everything went fast, we waited for about 15 mins until we get called, asked 2 questions by the officer, signed my landing paper, and that's about it. We went downstairs to get my new SIN number, everything was done in less than an hour.

anyone who is still waiting for their pr, hang in there. it will be all worth it in the end

Congrats !! Where is you landing interview ? Which office ? I'm still waiting on the landing letter ..we have a similar timeline

It says "2 photos for each person on this application". I'm applicant and my husband is sponsor, so I'm not sure. I would say only my photos.

These are the photos for your PR card so they just need your pic. Follow the guidelines here. Your sponsor does not need photos.
