you are right, it's showing on my ecas its decision made, however i didnt get my emails or letter yet of that decision made. i called cic yesterday and ask about that decision made, they just told me, you have to wait til Oct 2017 ( that's my 26th month ) to call back again.. these cic agents are RUDE!!!! so i will just have to wait then, its very frustrating... :(

What side is dm showing? Applicant or sponsor? Did you get SA or AIP?

Hi Everyone,

I am new here. I submitted my spousal application Dec 10 2015 while I was pregnant and could not go for medical. After delivery, I went for my medical yesterday after receiving an email from CIC last week to go do so. I was also told to pay for Right of Permanent residency.

My question is how long will it take for me to receive COPR after my medical has been done and $490 paid?

Sorry to hear that the CIC agent was rude, I found them extremely helpful (bias opinion and based on hat was before when I was applying to Temporary work visa)

True, but medicals and background checks are the second stage of processing, therefore it should not affect the processing time for SA and AIP.

When I first gor medical request I was extremely happy thinking that it meant SA. But still GCMS notes say that elibility hasn't been completed yet.

Anyway CONGRATS to all who has good news with their applications. I hope I'l be next

applicant. we got SA, no AIP.
Same exact happened to me (as far as dm showing in ecas but no letters). When i called I stated i got SA and wanted to see if i missed getting my aip....and that's when they said looks like i had been approved same time as SA. I never did get aip or dm letter....but landing showed up. I'm sure you will get landing letter soon (depending on your local office) i hate those rude agents. :(

THank you for kind words, my office is Edmonton, according to spreadsheets landing letters don't take long time there, but we'll see. I'm going to order notes and call CIC again. I can't believe you have had bad agents :o they seem soo nice (after liberal government was elected or maybe it was just a coincidence ;D)

Mrs. simpol almost done your journey :) you 5 days , until your landing is before valentine's day so febury will always be a good month for you congratulations my friend hope to see you in here .

welcome to canada

This is frustrating as it is totally unfair. And when we call CIC, they always say that the processing time is 26 months... which we all know is not true, and we should just wait...

I hate it when my lawyer or cic agent tells me that. Like, bs, we all know that's not true! Lots of people are even getting their pr in less than 12-16 months. So bs. And so frustrating!!

Even officials reports show shorter processing time.

Look at the first document on that page "Permanent and Temporary Resident Applications Overview"
These are numbers updated on Sept 30, 2016, I could not find more recent numbers. The processing time for Domestic (Inland) spouse sponsorship was 23 months by the end of September 2016 (based on the average for the 12 previous months). It is obviously much less than that now, but IRCC maintains that the processing time is 26 months.

Hi Everyone

I applied December 2015 and I just received SA 2 weeks ago and a request to go for medical and pay Right of PR. I have a few questions:

1) My passport expires Jan 2018 and I am waiting for my medical result which I did February 7th 2017. Do I need to renew my passport before I am called for Interview?
2)If I want to change my maiden should I do that when I go for the interview or wait until I its time for citizenship? Is the process complicated?
3) How long does it take CIC to receive my medical result and update?

I can't wait to get this over with Gosh! its been a rush of anxiety for me.
