When I called CIC the automated message says that they are processing applications of July 8th, 2015. All applicant who applied before July 8th. doesn't deserve a sensible update?

just a curiosity. I read many of you have submitted the medical at the time of the application. So over 1 year ago. I know they are valid 1 year. It means all of you submitted the medical upfront will be called to make a new medical check up. I mean peeps from July and following months till November. Not trying to jinx you guys, but when i called they said me medical are good for 1 year. So this new fresh landed of a few posts ago said because i sent the medical with the app. I think it's not a guaranteed thing on the matter of speeding the process up. Maybe i am wrong

I ordered my gcms notes and they extended my medical exam until 2017. If they feel the application is simple, the officer can add an extension to the exam so that the application processes without delay. So fingers crossed!

just for clarification I did my medical upfront but I did not send it together with my paper application. I did my medical last July and sent the upfront medical notification print out through ECAS as an additional document. I've been reading all the post here diligently, so that gave me an idea and pursue to get my medical even if they haven't ask for it. By the time I received my AIP after a week I got my DM. Sorry for the confusion.

July 30, 2015 here! Just got medical request from cic today!!! It's been 16 months finally new progress here!! Does anyone know what'next after the medical exam pass? Am I close to final decision made?

I think that you will get AIP once the medical is passed.

congrats!!! atleast there is some movement!! I am also a july 30 2015 applicant and can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!
does cic email or sending via regular post?

Medical was done upfront
Rprf paid upfront
We sent then my wife's Canadian pasport copy with change in last name . Last friday we were able to check the status by using her new last name instead of old one ( This might be a sign they are working on our file as i in this post that someone called CIc agent and they told him that they are working on applications before july 8)

Yeah I believe they're working on July now. I'm a July 6th applicant. They didn't ask for my medicals but I did it last month and sent it to them. I saw yesterday it has been received by CIC. I hope it fastens the process.

i am over the moon!!!!!!!!! i know it could still be months before anything else happens...but SOMETHING happened..

It sure is a good sign - assuming AIP will come soon too. Hoping the process gets completed before the winter holidays (what are the chances of that happening!!)
