May 2015 applicant here and I totally sympathize with you :( My friend attended her landing interview back in July, and she and her husband applied in September 2015... It was so bittersweet because I wanted to be happy for my friend but I also felt upset because I'm still here waiting.

Oh yeah. Of course you want to be happy for her. It's not her fault CIC are so incompetent. I know exactly what you mean.

Yeah.. I think the worst part is knowing there's nothing we can do except wait.

Yeah, I remember thinking before "surely they won't start processing 2016 before they process middle of 2016" but I was proven wrong.

Actually...the worst part is that you've paid good money for this `service'!

adding to all this frustration of being in a waiting limbo... is the chance of Canada post going on a strike...

when I was waiting for my Work permit i went every single day to check the mail, full of hopes... took about 4 months...
now I check my email, and go every day to check the mail with the same hopes and expectations of finally heard some (good) news from CIC...

:'(

Just waiting for my husband`s PR card in the mail. In the landing paper it says it is a conditional PR. I dont seem to understand why as it says that you have to either be together 2 years before the date of application OR have a child. We were married 1.5 years and i had my child 4 months before the application. Is there any reason why we have a conditional PR or am i just misunderstanding something?

Did the agent discuss the conditional PR? And does your document say Condition-51 on it?

Application received = December 24, 2014
Medical done = April 26, 2016
SA = July 20, 2016

An officer called up my wife and had a phone interview for 55 min about our relation and every thing. She was in panic mode and luckily i was also there the officer was asking way too many question as we waited since 2012 till end of 2014 to apply and she lost her status in 2013. also he was asking for religion conversion as we are from different religion. she replied we are comfortable we our religion and we go to both the religious places. He was questioning about marriage with out family as her parents live in India and mine here but, they were against our marriage in the beginning and now both the families have accepted our marriage and they are waiting for us to get to india to have a grand ceremony. She managed ok. after the interview he said he is looking for more proofs and will send a letter and have to answer in 15 days. The following are the requirements:

1. Joint or Individual Bank accounts

2. All notice of assessment - yes we do have all of them

3. Proof of joint holding - We have our house and as a spouse she has interest in the property.

4. Sponsors evidence of employment income - yes we do have about 95K Average for the past 3 years.

5. Photographs with family, friends and occasion since we met - we got tons.

6. proof of all medical appointment of both of us. - got her doctors as we are trying for baby for the past year and she is going through her fertility test process.

7. other documentary evidence relevant pertaining to your relationship with your sponsor. - Memberships(Costco), phone bill.

NOTE: Documents may include, but are not limited to items such as joint loan agreements, joint ownership of property or other durable goods, lease/rental - ("Got Old Lease agreement") agreement, joint membership in organizations or groups, joint participation in sporting, cultural, social or other activities, joint travel - (got "Boarding pass", "Pictures"), written testimonials from family members, relatives or friends (" Testimony from her DAD, my Friends and her Friends") regarding your relationship, wills, insurance policies (Yes), coverage under sponsor’s employer benefits etc.

Hi,

Can anyone please let me know how I can withdraw my work permit extension paper application.

I could not find any phone# or email address.

Thanks

Here is my timeline you guys can update it :D

App submitted: April 30, 2015
AOR: July 14, 2015
OWP: Aug 18, 2015
SA: August 17, 2016
Request for further information (US police clearance): July 7th, 2016
Landing interview letter invitation: August 17, 2016
Landing interview: August 25, 2016 in Edmonton

Got a 2-year condition. But, we've only been together for 2,5 years and not married (just common-law). Also, my boyfriend only had a part time job when we sent our app - worked as a bartender. He is full time now though.

We also got 12 letters from friends and family about our relashionship and a few of them were norarized (so I better go buy some thank you gifts for them hehe ) ;D

AND we had tons of pictures together. Weird thing, i'm still waiting for my FBI report that they requested. So they either forgot about it or they don't need it.
I did not use a lawyer - a few of my friends did and they had problems with their apps.
Its not a rocket science to do it yourself. Ive read lots of this forum and also the instructions on CIC website, thats it. If you got a question just google it and most likely the answer is on this awesome forum.

Than you guys for all your advice and good luck to those who still waiting! ;)
