For everyone still trying to link your PR app to My CIC Profile (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp)

1. Make sure you are using the Applicants info (you cannot link a sponsors app).
2. You do not have to enter both Birth and Passport info...but you must enter one of them. If one doesn't work, try the other. (Common solution)
3. At a minimum mark 2 people when it asks how many are on the application. (Applicant/sponsor) then add any dependents that are coming into Canada with the applicant.
4. Try different options for application details
5. Review your original application if you have it...and make sure what you are entering matches.

You have 5 attempts before you need to wait 24 hours to try again.

tried to link MyCIC to our PR application for one try,but it's not available for people like us who have used a representative for their
application.
It stated that "Based on the information you entered, we found: 1 application
We see that you have a representative tied to this application. Your representative has access to your application." :(

That is correct. :( there is a portal they can use to link your account though http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2016/ob622.asp

They just usually forwarded the email being sent to them by CIC,I dont think they will share what's on the portal. But I will still try to ask. Thanks for the info.

Hi inlanders
I have question regarding landing interview. If you land in a CIC office in Canada can you still have a "goods to follow" list? After the permanent residency is granted we want to move some of our personal stuff from our home country to Canada. Is it possible?
thank you!

Congratulations!

I know it appears like you have directly reached the last step, but all seems okay since a landing interview has been scheduled. You should be good!

All the best ! :)

Thank you erable_rouge :) I appreciate your rely...
I am feeling nervous, as I had previously (in May 2016) got a file transfer notice (for further assessment) and was told by a CIC agent that it's most likely that I'm going to get a screening interview and I would have to wait for at least another 12 months just to be assigned to an agent and after that I still need to wait for them to put me in line for the interview. However, it seemed that I didn't need a screening interview after all....
The AIP and landing interview letter still seem to be a bit unreal to me...I really hope it's all going to be fine. The whole application process has been so nerve-wrecking...I can't wait for it to be finalized!!!

You mention CIC agent called your work for 10 minute interview and AIP arrived right after that interview. It's interesting. Can you share with us what was going to the interview ? Thank you so much.

The agent called my cell phone first, but it was on mute and I did not answer (when I checked later I found out that the called ID showed unknown). Then he called my work phone. He first confirmed my address and DOB with me, and then told me that he needed to ask me a few things regarding my app to clear things up.
He asked me about our joint bank account( which bears a different address than where we're living now), I offered explanation.
He then asked me about my parents, I explained where they are right now.
We applied under common law, he asked me whether we had plans for getting married. I said yes, and I want to have a wedding ceremony as well ( we never had one).
Then he confirmed my email address and told me that he's going to communicate the result with me through email.
The officer was extremely nice and polite.
The AIP email was sent to me roughly 1 hr after the phone interview.

For anyone who got a file transfer notice/might be interviewed, I strongly advised them to pay attention to phone calls that had the Caller ID blocked.
