Hi Everyone,

My husband and I received a medical request and then a few days later SA and AIP. Is it normal to receive SA and AIP before the medical is done???

I would say yes, since the medical isn't really needed until after AIP, for Inland applicants.

Hello all,

I have a question, in the thread for inland sponsorship I want to update my info. When I go to new entry and update sheet and enter my user name plus the column I want to modify, no changes appear in the main sheet. Should I do anything special to save my modification??

November 4th applicant.

When i checked Ecas today it shows Medical Result received. I was very doubtful as my husband did his medical almost a year ago and we were preparing ourselves to redo the medical test for him again but now it shows its received, so does that mean they are not going to ask us again? Please advise.

Thanks

So does my ECAS, a new row of "Medical results have been received" appears. My medical exam was done Nov 4 last year and sent with the application.

Even though your medical is over a year old, the officer would still possibally waive you from doing a new medical exam, and grant you the PR directly.

Do CIC requires minimum DPI in scanning documents? I have many files to upload for my requirements but the case specific link remarks that total size of all attachments cannot exceed 3.5 MB.

I am planning to lower the DPI to 150... please help thanks. :)

No. It doesn't auto update. Enter your info and one of the people with access will update it for you then remove the info from the updates tab.

not sure, but did you try playing around with your scanner settings? scan in black and white, not grayscale, etc...

I just did 7 pages of scans straight to pdf at 300dpi and the total size of the whole thing was way under a MB

Yes our timeline is pretty close. Lets hope for some good news soon. :)

Does ECAS usually take this long to update??? Received AIP and SA and a medical request 2 weeks ago but ECAS doesn't reflect that..

Thank you will try that black and white setting :)

So I logged into Ecas again today--I have some demented belief that one day I will log in an see something new. Sure enough, today I saw something new... CIC now lists my "home" address and my "mailing" address. This would be great if they matched... and if they were both up to date. I've made several attempts to rectify this before. Hopefully, I don't end up in immigration hell because they decide to send important docs to my old address....

Hi! I guess I can't stay away from here.... We have the same prob. Moving house next week and updated the address, only it isn't showing as updating online. I was told that unfortunately they don't tend to update it online but it is updated on their file. Who knows with CIC :-\

November 4th applicant.

Today i received the email that i meet the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor and my husband received a letter that he needs to provide additional supporting documents as they think we have not provided sufficient evidence that he is in cohabitating relationship with me. They also gave example documents that I need to submit (evidence of joint bank, trust, credit union or charge card accounts; jointly signed residential lease, mortgage or purchase agreement, insurance and/or beneficiary forms)

We do not have too many pictures of wedding as it was an intimate ceremony with family members only. Should i submit my marriage certificate along with all the other documents requested as we have joint account and joint lease and all? Should i write a letter of explanation too or the documents are enough. Please advise

Since you have applied Inland, you need to convince CIC that you and your husband are in fact living together; it's required for all Inland applicants...even married applicants. Sending anything that does NOT address the concerns of the officer, will not be helpful. It's not the marriage that is in doubt (apparently), so just send evidence that you are both living under the same roof.

Good luck!

Will do. Thank you so much ponga:)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It seems like CIC relies on email...
