Hi November applicant here.

Today 06/01/016, my wife received the email that she met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor (is this the SA?)

And same with me I received a letter that I need additional supporting documents for I have not provide sufficient evidence that I am cohabitating relationship with my wife. They also gave example documents that I need to submit (evidence of joint bank, trust, credit union or charge card accounts; jointly signed residential lease, mortgage or purchase agreement, insurance and/or beneficiary forms. Other supporting documentation such as statutory declarations of individuals with personal knowledge that your relationship is genuine and continuing may be considered)

My question if this will suffice, a letter from the bank that we have a joint account and a copy from her company stating there that I am his contact person with the same address.

Need the expertise of anyone who encounter my situation thanks.

more paper you can produce is the better.
send any and all pieces of papers where you have the family address and your name on.
also if you filed tax return you can send the copy of the CRA letterhead with your address on it
good luck

Hi Sophie,

Here's the timeline of our application:

Feb. 18 2015 - Date Application Received according to CIC
May 8, 2015 - Date Aknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) Received
April 8, 2016 - Medical requested (after a week eCas shows "medical results has been received)
April 18, 2016 - SA and AIP letter received
April 26, 2016 - I have sent another OWP app as my permit will expire in June 29, 2016.

But i haven't heard anything from them.

What's next? and am i waiting another letter? how long would it take?

Thank you.

We sent statements with both our names and same address on from the bank (proof of joint account)

We sent the letter showing that I am my spouses beneficiary

We sent bill letters with both of our names on: mobile phone bill, Internet etc

We sent a copy of lease and letter from landlord confirming we lived together at previous address

there might have been a few others but I can't remember them.

Hi all.

It's been about a week and a half since my husband's medical exam. Generally, how long after the exam can we expect to see confirmation on eCAS that CIC has received the results?

Thanks! :)

I did my medical exam on the 18th too. Still waiting for eCAS, my clinic told me it takes 2 month for CIC to acknowledge it...on the spreadsheet I say you will hear from CIC after 6-8 weeks (AIP/DM or interview)

These are standard requests from common-law partners. I would prepare a cover letter, highlighting, that you are living together AND in fact are married to each other, and also send a copy of the marriage certificate. Just in case they haven't noticed this really unimportant small fact...

Hello Everyone, April 2015 Applicant here.

No word from cic obviously. Its getting pretty frustrating now. >:(

I do have a question. We never submitted a medical with our application because our lawyer said that it would expire by the time they even get to it as per the processing times at the time.

Now we can be pretty certain that they should be requesting for a medical within the next year *fingers crossed*, would it be a good idea to just go get our medical done without them requesting for one just so it doesn't have to take 6-8 weeks? Lawyers said to go ahead.
