Wondering what is going on with CIC. We sent our application on July 28 (received on July 31) and no OWP so far?? How many others are in a similar situation?

Same here, Aug 5th (received by CIC) plus we do have our AOR. Do not have the OWP yet, keep expecting it to come through the door everyday at the moment followed by feeling down when it doesn't. I know, I know the last thing I should do throughout this entire process is to get my hopes up.

Jeje - Very happy for you, congratulations!!

Hi
I am exactly in the same boat as you. Applied on 30th July and received on 31st July by CIC. No AOR or OWP yet. Whats your citizenship? I am wondering if your original citizenship has an impact on your application.

Hello,

our application was received 28th of July, got our AOR on the 6th of November but no OWP yet, but in my case it might take a bit longer for the OWP, since I had to submit additional informations.

good luck to all of you, hopefully our work permits arrive soon !

Hey all,

we filed for my wife's PR and OWP on OCT 13, application received OCT 15. Obviously no AOR yet

Is there any conceivable reason why she would be denied entry by the border agent if we visit her family over the holidays (flying out and back)?
Would the airline even issue a ticket if they were not satisfied she will be granted entry? (The flight back into Canada will actually be the outbound leg of a new ticket, already issued, with the return flight being in JUN of 2016)
She is a passport holder of a visitor-visa-exempt EU member state.

Thanks for any insight...

Unfortunately, the airlines only care about getting revenue; they could care less about issues with CBSA. As long as the traveler has a valid passport to purchase the ticket, that's good enough for them.

It's impossible to say what will happen, but as long as she is prepared to satisfy any concerns the officer may have with her `Dual Intent' to enter Canada, her chances would seem to be good. Having the return ticket for her will certainly help.

Good luck!

I am Indian! Can't imagine if that should be the case though. Have you called cic and checked status? I did yesterday and the agent advised me that there was no update hence he put a note to get an update.

Submitted application for my husband on August 12th....no Aor as yet :'(

Yes. I used the UCI number on my OWP to login to Ecas :)

Heads up everyone who is planning to apply, the Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008] was just updated.

I havent called CIC yet - can you please give their number?

I applied through an immigration lawyer who said they will be finding out the status. However, these lawyers send a written application form inquiring status update and it might take a while before a written response comes from CIC. I think i would be better off calling myself.

Please send the # so I can call!

Hi, Im a bit nervous from this update, will that affect the people that already applied " i applied sept. 2015" , i'm scared that they may return back the application because of the form update so i have to start from the beginning again... Is anyone have an experience with that ? :(
