I was just checking out everyones timeline...and Im feeling a wee bit pished off! My husband is Canadian born and bred, We got married December 2010 in Australia, Myself and kids came to Canada March 2011, we filed Spousal class (family) in May 2011, we got through initial 1st stage in April 2012 (work visa approval) we've had a medical every year, but having looked at my online status, the last point we were at was they were "looking" at our file October 2014...I had to renew my work visa in March this year, and not received one...cant work..cant renew healthcare cards, 15 year old can't take part in drivers ed because theres no evidence of her "under sponsorship" My 21 year old daughter can't work to support her little girl, And the children have until the 16th of october to provide CIC paperwork, and then they're booted from school. We've not ever left Canada...was told we weren't allowed to leave, so Ive had to miss out on family events and such things as funerals...So here we are 4 and a half years later...anyone else having this problem? So much for that whole Commonwealth partnership thing!!!!

You applied inland in May 2011 and its still processing?! Have you called the CIC number? Ordered GCMS notes, or contacted your MP? Something seems very wrong, it should not be taking this long unless there's a big red flag and it went to Etobicoke, or they lost it.

Yes, you automatically have implied status. However...if either application (Inland PR or OWP) is returned to you, because you submitted an outdated form, missed a required signature, or paid the wrong amount for the OWP (which is $255, not $155)...you would lose your implied status.

As long as you are absolutely certain that all forms were the latest versions, signed where required and that you paid $255 for the OWP, you'll be fine.

Still haven't received AOR...should I be concerned? Application received July 7th - I've seen on the timeline that some people who's app was received then have got AOR.

Hi all, has anyone gotten their OWP from the pilot program with restrictions and wanted to change it or have changed it....please let me know how it went for you please. My case is when I had applied my medical was valid but by the time they processed my WP application it expired so I got those restrictions on there n I work in the medical field so now I can't work.

Hello Seniors,

I applied an inland application for my Wife who is on a visitor visa in Canada. I sent OWP with Inland application to Mississauga just 2 days ago and I tracked with Canada post and found they have received the file. I know I will be able to check Inland application status once we receive an AOR. However, how will I know if my wife's OWP has been accepted as well and will be sent to the right deptt?

Please advise.

My sponsorship application started processing July 23, 2015. Still nothing yet but I keep checking every day!

Any idea how long that first step should take ?

It's been a tough road. My mother-in-law passed away in Indiana the day after we received the OWP. After checking with the lawyer and CIC there was no guarantee that he wouldn't be stopped coming back across the border after the funeral so he had to miss it Broke his heart in a million pieces and I feel awful that he still can't go back across to go see his dad yet.

Any thoughts on if and when we should apply for a Temporary Visa so he can go back and visit his family?

I am so sorry that happened. Such an awful situation.

Great that you got the work permit. Not everyone receives AOR, CIC like to vary things a bit
My application was received 7th July, and others who's were also received then have got their AOR but I haven't got mine yet. Hope I get it soon.

I am not sure, but if you applied for PR on July 2015 is a little bit earlier for the med request but you never know, CIC is doing a mess with the order they receive applications.
You can order a copy of your extension if you really need it or just wait for your OWP to come.

Hi. Got the trv extension already. Approved September 2. Same date that cic asked for me to get medical done. Still waiting for or application reply.
