Thank you GustavesF

I guess that is an stupid question but I have to ask because I don;t see anything anywhere.

What about if you had OHIP for 2 years and you just wanna renew it? still has to wait to get AIP?

if we are working and something happen to us while working, we will be covered by work insurance right??
any good insurance that has a good coverege??

I tried to get an insurance but because I don't have OHIP, they said that I can't have it.

any suggestions? I don't wanna be without coverage for 17 months...

Thanks

Just had my application returned to me. They received it May 5. I opened it up and it said they were unable to process my application and on the checklist they highlighted (on the sponsorship form) the form # and date, and highlighted signature. Only problem is-the form I sent is the one they asked for, and it was signed by me and my sponsor. Only signature line that was left blank was the one for a co-sponsor, which I do not have. So effectively I just lost two and a half months of my life because the employee that opened my application can't read. SWEET. I called CIC and of course nobody knows anything at all, and the employee told me to re-send the app.

So sorry to hear this, yet...not at all surprised.

\did they send you an AOR then returned it

Hi Sophee and GG Wife,

I "received" AOR today. Can you note this in the Inland spreadsheet?

FYI I didn't actually get the email. Rather my partner looked online (ECAS?) and saw that I now (As of today) show up in the system, and that my application for PR was received on May 6th.

Horrible. Just horrible. Was your sponsor form outdated?
If not, you ought to speak to your MP about this. At least register the complaint.

how could you check the status online without any AOR or client number? just want to know.

My partner used my UCI# when she checked ECAS this morning (my UCI# was assigned to me when I made my first visitor extension request last year. I was asked for it on my PR app).

My guess is that CIC tried to (or was supposed to) send an AOR email 1-2 weeks ago, but for whatever reason my sponsor never received it. Perhaps a clerical error? Perhaps the AOR email is generated *after* a client is entered into ECAS? At any rate, it doesn't matter since ECAS confirms that CIC got the application on the date that Canada Post says they delivered it.

If you have a UCI b4bow, check ecas.

i don't have any UCI #, and definitely i am worrying about it now. hope to get the AOR soon.

Before I forget... I noticed on the FAQ doc that there is no info listed for rules about obtaining public health insurance in Saskatchewan. I just spoke to Saskatchewan Health Services and the lady I spoke to says that you just need an Open Work Permit stating that 1) you're authorized to work in Canada and 2) the date that the permit is valid for. The case type (i.e. 20, 27 etc) does not matter... the lady was clear about that.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry yet. I have a feeling that CIC probably received a tonne of applications around the time we applied.

Sorry to hear that, but your experience is pretty standard.

Looks like your processing is being handled by a troupe of bumbling clowns.

Hi Sophee and GG Wife,

Please add me in your spreadsheet

Category : Family Spousal
Date Application Received by CIC : March 12, 2015
Date AOR Received : May 8, 2015
Country of Origin : Philippines
Canadian City of Origin : Calgary
OWP Received accdg. to CIC. : May 27, 2015
OWP Received : July 20, 2015
Medical : No
Police check : No

We missed 100 payment, when submitted our application, CIC informed us about the missing payment last May 7, 2015 and paid immediately the following day and send the receipt. My package was not returned. I was able to access ECAS thru my sponsor after a week AOR received using UCI No. and I (applicant) just found out recently i can access my ECAS too. I hope this will help everyone who have the same situation as mine.
