Hi guys,

I'm adding my timeline too:

Date application delivered to CIC: April 29th
Date AOR email Received: Not yet
Country of Origin: Tunisia
Canadian City of Residence: Calgary, Alberta
OWP sent (w/ application?) YES
Medical done (w/ application?) No
Police check done (w/ application?)N/A

Just wondering, my current work permit expires on June 30th, if I haven't received an AOR by then, am i still considered under implied status?

Also, has anyone received an OWP before they got their AOR?

Did

Thanks for sharing!
You will have implied status, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you can continue to work. Ask your MP to get a written statement from CIC if you can continue to work (bring the current work permit with you).

Hello Guys ,

I really need your advice regarding something

- Is it Really necessarily to pay someone to do my application such as a lawyer or a consultant, or can i do it myself ?

- Are there any advantages or disadvantages of hiring someone to do the application for me ?

i just wana avoid the hassle of doing something wrong with the application which can delay the process

please Advice !!! :-[

Consultants and lawyers also can make mistakes (and did several times according to forum stories). I think the best if you do it yourself, unless if you really don't have time for this, or as wifedoctor said, if you have language difficulties.

I've heard a couple stories that people tried this, no one succeeded. CBSA officers don't know CIC's rules in details.
Thanks,
I decided to file outland, and just bite my lips for couple of more months.

I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately your case doesn't look so well. I never heard that someone withdraw a withdrawal... You should call the call centre (or ask your MP) about the possible steps. You already must have had some red flags if they wanted to have an interview in Calgary and this move won't look good either. As I said before, you should find out what are CIC's concerns with your relationship. If you can't stop the withdrawal, you can apply again, but in the new application you need to provide a good explanation of the withdrawal and you should also address the original issues.
Good luck!

Hi all,

I'm preparing my wife's inland application, I have a question on her visitor visa's legal status.

She first entered Canada from an airport on Dec 6, 2014, which she got the first stamp. Then we went to a US road trip by crossing US-Canada border, we came back on March 9, 2015. She got the second stamp on her passport. Now we want to know how to count her 6 month legal stay in Canada. Use the first stamp or the second stamp. What's her last day, June 6 or September 9?

Thanks if you can help.

The second stamp, if she is from a visa exempt country.

If you include an Open Work Permit (OWP) with the Inland application and they [both] are received by CIC prior to Sep 9th, she will have Implied Status.
This will allow her to legally remain in Canada throughout the Inland process. She would receive her OWP ~ 4 months after it was received by CIC.

Thank you Ponga.

Another question about filling the application form.

In COMING TO CANADA section, Date and place of your original entry to Canada? What should I put? the first date or the second date?

First date, because that is her original entry date, right?

Good luck!
