Hello,

We have received our request for a landing interview this Monday and I was wondering if I might be able to get some advice and input on what to expect? Also we now have our newborn daughter, is it a bad idea to bring her along with us? We aren't able to have anyone watch her while we go to the appointment...

OWP arrived end of March 2016
CSQ received April 2016
AOR June 2016
AIP April 25 2017
Medical Request April 25 2017
Medical exam May 11 2017
DM May 29 2017

The long waiting time between AOR and AIP was really painful.

My spouse got PR/landing letter. Thanks Sophiee and all for their support. Total processing time around 23 months.

I have a question , I would like to withdraw OWP renewal application and get a refund, unfortunately the CIC helpline 18882422100 is busy at all times, are there any other lines open?

I need some help. When I landed I was given the document "personal effects accounting document (lists of goods imported)" and told to fill it out ASAP and return to the local Border Patrol Office.

I am not going to get my things until November and I have been in Canada for three years. Without seeing my things in person (and based on how much room i have in the Uhaul) this is causing me the following issues:

1. Can't remember everything I own (I had a fully furnished three bedroom home)
2. Can't determine which items I will be importing now versus which should be listed on the "list of goods to follow).
3. Can't determine which stuff I've decided definitely will be coming versus what I will just donate down in the states.

How did you all handle this? And were you all also told to bring your list of goods imported to border security as soon as possible?

Is there any reason I can't bring these lists with me to the border when I am actually importing in November? Is there a reason this list has to be turned in now? It would be much more complete and accurate if I could take an actual accounting at the time of import and not six months prior after having my belongings in storage for three years.

Have your sponsor contact your MP. You passed the "famous" 26 months that CIC keeps saying to people. Your MP might be able to make things move.

Thanks Sylvain1. I contacted the MP and they said wait another month and if it still doesn't come he'll take action. After several sleepless nights, I have decided to be patient and wait. That's the only option I have right now.

wow... what a bad MP... I hope you'll get news anytime soon. But yes, avoid worrying too much, there is nothing you can do for now.

Received a message from CIC today saying that the processing of my application is complete and that the Montreal office will contact me for my landing appointment. Have to say I was a bit nervous from the time ECAS was updated to Decision Made until I received the message under my account. I knew that Decision Made status is good but it felt even better receiving the actual message from CIC.

Congratulations! Expect some more waiting though... At least, here is our timeline:
DM letter: March 21st 2017
Montreal office landing appointment letter: May 12th, 2017
Landing interview: May 26th 2017
So you can expect about 2 months of waiting before getting any news from Montreal office.
