Hi, they started to ask for fingerprints way more often now. It takes 3 working days if there is no problem found.
I did mine on a Friday, next Monday they have sent it out. I did call the place where I made it and they directed me to some sort of RCMP helpline. I identified myself by the request number (I got a copy of that) and they sent me an email confirmation that my fingerprints were sent to CIC. Just to be supersafe I uploaded that email, plus the receipt I had for the fingerprint fee to CIC online. When I raised a query whether CIC got it or not, they replied yes, they have my fingerprints on file. From that point the process sped up and next thing I got was the landing interview email.

further details on the process here.

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/processing-time-criminal-record-and-vulnerable-sector-checks

all the best!
Thank you for your reply GG_wife, I'm hoping we don't have to wait the 120 days for them to sort everything out (my husband has no criminal record in Canada or from home so it's even more frustrating). For the request number, where do you find that?

Thanks again and all the best on your landing interview!

Both the sponsor and the principal applicant must attend the interview.
Yes, and they must also reside at the same address, since it is a requirement for the Inland application.

As long as you always are able to enter Canada, no, there will be no problem. But if, for any reason, you are not allowed to enter Canada, then you will miss your inland landing interview and your application will be deemed abandoned.
Not living together can lead to a refusal, so it can certainly be a problem!

when I commented, there was no information that they were not living together; just that the PA was travelling a lot. There was neither no mentions whether the PA and the Sponsor were travelling together or not, nor whether the time abroad is composed of short or long episodes.

Fair enough. I only gleaned the information from reading other posts from that member.

Not living together, with an Inland application, is the epitome of risky!

We are living together... i have the same address as my husband in all (bank accounts, driving license, health care, I also have some bill under my name) the point I just travel back home a lot because i am on a Temporary residence visa and I didn't want to over stay

Some of the travels we did it together... I don't know if they will check my husband passport to see if his entry stamps match some of mine

According to what you said here, you most definitely are NOT living together:

Now I wish we have never applied Inland

I spend 3-4 months in Canada with my husband, then I travel home for 6 months before I travel back to Canada (he visits sometimes as well during this period)

Inland application makes things more complicated for no benefits (except the Open Work Permit, but it's longer processing time)

I am now worry, after started to feel that i am close to the end

Is there a required number of days to live together?

I couldn't over stay while I have only a temporary resident visa

Original passports are a requirement (as it's the original identity document for the PA) for landing interviews.
I get why PA passport would be a requirement but why would it be a requirement for the sponsor?

Yes -- ALL OF THEM. It's written in the law...

Even if you overstay, inland applications require you to remain in Canada. Overstays are processed under public policy.

This is why you can file for the OWP. If you filed before your visitor status ran out, and included the OWP, it would have granted you worker status, whether you worked or not. This is why the inland application comes with the OWP available (and almost always approved).

They will tolerate very short visits outside, but this seems to be highly variable, and not longer than a month.

The sponsor can just show a DL.. Passport works too. They just need to satisfy the landing agent that they are Jane or John Doe.

You're thinking the Residency Obligation... not during inland processing... two very different things (One has a PR already granted, one has one applied for, but no DM).
