I have to say, I laughed pretty hard at this. And I shared it with my wife. I am sorry to say, that my laughter was out of contempt for IRCC. As a Canadian-born and who can trace lineage back to the early days of Upper and Lower Canada, I find this totally unacceptable. This is not what any of us would want or expect.

We too got a PCC in error. In our case, it was because they obviously turned on some automation, that sent a PCC request out in August of 2016 -- because it appeared our file didn't have a PCC -- but it did -- the staff were just too slow at scanning them in. We sent a new one in anyway.

Now, they had meds approved until the last systems update. Our MP's office even told us that everything is confirmed and we are just waiting for eligibility review.... until yesterday. They sent us a medical request -- despite me having GCMS notes, our MP having it on their file, and ecas still claims the meds are done. MP is chasing IRCC over it now.

I concur with sylvain.

oh wow these ircc people are a joke hard to take them serious.

@Gloria I feel bad for you because you are July 2015

We got the decision made on march 21st and we are waiting to be assigned an appointment in montreal. Now the problem is that we are in my home country now due to my father's medicial emergency. Though my husband will be back to Canada in 2 weeks I am not sure about my plan. Do you have any idea if they can accept an exception that the sponsor does not attrnd the appointment?
First, I hope your father gets better soon.
Second, no, both have to be present at the interview. But from what I have read from previous posts, once you will receive your appointment letter, there will be instructions on how to contact them in case you cannot attend on that date and how to reschedule your appointment.

As sylvain stated, I hope your father gets well soon. The PA and Sponsor have to attend.

Is the situation stable? Or is the expectation that it would be in short order? If so, you might want to try to arrange to be in Quebec. Also, have you tried to reach out to the Montreal office, to see if they can help? I am certain they would try to do something, if they can, to help.

I suggest to have your MP implicated in your file to clear this up. This is stupid from them to ask you to wait for their letter and then reply to their error.
Is your application linked? if not, they likely sent it via regular mail. When they sent a batch mail in June 2016, we received a letter in early July, but the date on the letter was June 20th. So, if it is in the regular mail, it might be normal that you did not receive it yet, for some reason it takes several days before actually leaving their office; but you should get it very soon.
Also, did you ordered your GCMS notes in the past? If yes, make sure there is no typos in your email address. It happened to me (the sponsor), they did a typo in my email. I ordered my GCMS notes in November, got them in December 2016 and realized their mistake, sent a correction via CSE the next day.

Gloria, I sincerely wish you to get good news very soon!
Thank you very much.

I ordered my GCMS notes in February, still waiting on them. I did link my account and I check it every day and there is no messages at all. I have received emails from them before, just not this one. I will definitely get the MP involve.

Thanks again

I concur with sylvain.
The height of slacknees they paid for with our time is appalling. I will get my MP involve at this point.

Hi,

Can someone who already landed in Etobicoke office, please confirm what documents should I carry. The letter just says original identity documents but I read in this forum that some of the guys have been asked for hydro bills, joint account statement etc.
For the sponsor, is the passport with our address and bank statement suffice as address proof? We don't have anything else like driving license for her since she do not drive.

Hoping for a response

They cannot ask you to produce anything they didn't ask you to bring. Therefore, I wouldn't bring anything other than what they asked for. Genuine ID can be anything that the government issued. Passport is fine.

You only need to bring with you what they've asked for. If they decide to conduct one of those "last double-check" type of interviews, it will likely only be to get a better feeling about the relationship.

In our case, it would be unlikely to have this type of interview. We are < 15 min drive from the Kitchener office.
Omg they have office in Kitchener area? that's awesome! I'm also from KW area! Thought we would go to Toronto area for interview! Still waiting for the SA though :)

Hi everyone,

We went for our DM (decision made) interview on the 16th Mar 2017. We got approved! I am landed in that office and my PR card will be mailed in 45 days. We would like to thank everyone whose been with us in this journey! It was draggy, stressful, confusing and we won't be able to make it if it weren't for this community here.

The interview was breezy. We get to see the collection of our forms that we had sent to the immigration office. We had around 15 minutes of briefing together before we were asked to be interview separately for approximately 15-20 minutes. Questions like 'Have I been convicted in Canada?', 'Have I been denied entry to Canada before this?', 'Do I have any medical condition?'. Also questions that will help to prove the authenticity of our relationship. Domestic questions like 'What do I like the most about my husband?', 'Is there any problem in the relationship that the officer should know about?'. We also brought documents that was asked in the invitation email. The officer asked to see 6 months of payslips, 12 months of hydro bills, phone bills and rent, tenancy agreement, 12 months of bank statement, auto insurance for 2015 and 2016, original marriage certificate and original travel documents.

Please update our status on the spreadsheet. Thank you very much. And to those still waiting, we wish you all the best. Good luck and may good news arrived soon :)
Wow i didnt know theres still an interview after aip. I got interviewed before aip. Congrats!!

29 Duke Street. Kiddy-corner from the new courthouse, and across from Market Square. Right next door to the Cenotaph on Frederick. The office is like never busy, and there is only one way to enter -- you have to buzz at the door...

The full service Service Ontario (to do your OHIP changes), and the Service Canada to get your permanent SIN are in the same block.
SC is on the main floor in Market Square. SO is up the street in the Royal Bank building on Duke. 3rd floor maybe?
