Hi guys , How r u ?. i did apply for pr under family class sponsorship in April 2015. I received application no. 1 july by email . My status expire in may 2015 and passport expire August 2015. I did apply for owp and restoration of status in June 2015. but i dnt konw if ur passport expire CPC never issue work permit so i got reused letter in November 2015 . SO now i apply for passport and is still in process. please tell me what is my immigration status now ? Can i apply again under pilot project for owp.

I'm sorry to say, but now you are out of status, and even if you receive a new passport, you won't be able to apply for a work permit before your receive your AIP.
Make sure you send copies of your new passport to CIC, otherwise you can have problems with your PR app too.

If what you're saying is that your ROS application was also refused, you are now without status and have no way to regain that status without leaving and successfully re-entering Canada. Without status, you would not qualify for the pilot OWP...and could possibly be removed from Canada.

I received my OWP, it was issued on 2nd of December 2015. Can someone please update the sheet ? Thank you

Also when I logged in to check my status today, I noticed this new entry

"We sent you correspondence on October 21, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required."

We did not receive any correspondence so called CIC and agent said he will notify Mississauga

Implied status, in this case, provides a legal status that allows a person to remain in Canada, while they await the processing of their PR sponsorship application to be completed. To be covered under implied status, the applicant must still have legal status on the day that CIC receives the PR application and either an OWP (typically included by most Inland applicants), or a visitor extension application. Submitting the PR application alone, does NOT provide implied status.

In your case, it is now too late to restore your status, therefore you do not have this implied status.

You still haven't told us if your Restoration of Status application was refused, or if it was only your OWP that was refused.

If your ROS was refused, you are now in Canada without status, which means illegal.

It doesn't matter. As I mentioned previously, the Inland application, alone, does NOT give a person implied status.

Interesting it seems a couple people recently got AOR in just one month. Lately it has been taking 3 months for AOR. Looking at the history of the spreadsheet it seems to really fluctuate through phases.

You say that your status expired in May, but you still have not told us if your Restoration of Status application was approved. Was it approved?!

If it was not approved, that means that when you sent your OWP in June, you did NOT have legal status.

The application number that you received means nothing, regarding your status. Everyone receives a file number sooner or later.

WAS YOUR ROS APPROVED? YES OR NO.

Unless you tell us if it was approved, there's no way for anyone to tell you if you have legal status in Canada!
